Excellent experience with Dr Bray (and all the staff/team) for gyno surgery. I had a previous surgery that wasn’t effective and was reluctant to try it again. Almost a year out from the second surgery performed by Dr Bray and I am incredibly happy with the results. Would highly recommend him. Thank you so much to Dr Bray and the team for top tier service and support.
After my surgery, I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for the wonderful care I received from my surgeon, Dr. Peter Bray. His reassurance and kindness throughout my recovery meant so much to me. Dr. Peter Bray is truly an outstanding surgeon. From my very first appointment, he was patient, kind, and took the time to answer every one of my questions. I never once felt rushed or brushed aside — he made sure I understood everything and felt completely comfortable before my surgery. His calm and caring manner gave me great confidence, and I’m so grateful for the excellent care I received from him and his team. The results have exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier. A special thanks to Paulette, Amanda, Andrea, Keisha and Brandan. Again my sincere thanks, Dr. Bray.
I had a very hard time choosing a surgeon for my mommy makeover, especially since I wasn’t limited to a specific country and was open to having the surgery anywhere. I explored options across Europe, the U.S., and multiple cities in Canada. Ultimately, I narrowed it down to three top surgeons in Toronto—and after a full year of research, I chose Dr. Bray. I spent three weeks in Toronto for my surgery and recovery, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Dr. Bray performed a tummy tuck, breast lift with augmentation, and liposuction with contouring. He also repaired a 7cm diastasis recti and gave me incredibly natural-looking results. One of my biggest concerns going into surgery was the belly button—something that can easily look artificial if not done correctly. After reviewing hundreds of before-and-after photos from various surgeons, none compared to Dr. Bray’s. His attention to detail and consistency stood out. I also appreciated how straightforward Dr. Bray and his staff were throughout the entire process. They never dismissed any of my concerns and were always honest, thorough, and reassuring. My recovery went smoothly, with minimal scarring and amazing results that exceeded my expectations. Some recovery tools that made a huge difference for me were an electric recliner, which made getting in and out of a resting position much easier, an airplane neck pillow to help me sleep upright in those early days, and a rollator for added stability and mobility around the house. I can’t recommend these enough for anyone preparing for similar surgery. If you’re looking for world-class results and a surgeon who is both highly skilled and genuinely honest, I highly recommend Dr. Bray and his 5 star team.
TLDR; Male, early 30s, gynecomastia aka "man boobs" removal. I've never felt this comfortable in my own skin before. The thing I wanted most out of this experience was to never think about my chest again, and that's exactly what I got. I'm confident enough to go to my local gym, to be around people without my arms always being crossed, to walk out of my apartment in a t-shirt and not be thinking about how people are perceiving me at every waking moment. It's not the cheapest procedure in the world but it WILL change your life, I promise. SUPER LONG STORY BELOW: I wanna preface by saying there's a LOT of change you can make with your body just by eating healthy and exercising regularly, but I also know that depression is a thing and motivation can be extremely hard to find when you've spent years hating your own body. If you're seriously considering this procedure, do the best you can to slim down ahead of time. You'll feel more confident on the other end of it AND your bill will be cheaper :D I'm a man in my early 30's who has suffered from gynecomastia (aka "man boobs") since I was in my teens. I would call myself a "severe" case. I don't wanna misquote anyone but I believe that's how Dr. Bray categorized my case as well. My weight fluctuated all my life, and I found that even when I was thinner/in better shape, my chest still held a lot of fat and the excess skin was never going to recede/flatten out unless I changed my entire life to revolve around bulking, which I wasn't in a position to do. Since my teens I've worn very tight, uncomfortable undershirts to try and make my chest flatter, and even then, I was always standing with my arms crossed or sitting awkwardly to try and hide myself. A few years ago I was finally in a position where I could actually save money. I immediately started putting funds aside specifically for this surgery. I did a bunch of research online about expenses, what to expect, etc. The r/gynecomastia subreddit was a great resource for this, if only to see that I wasn't alone in my struggle. Last summer I finally reached out to Dr. Brays office after seeing a lot of people recommend him on the subreddit I mentioned. The staff is fantastic. Super kind and caring. I was just in there today for my 6 month follow up and one of them even remembered my cats name! Dr. Bray is GREAT. He's very kind, got a very calm demeanor, and made me feel comfortable right away. After my initial consultation, they gave me a rundown of what my treatment plan would look like and the estimated cost (the quote was how much I ended up paying, no rug pulling or anything shifty). I was in the surgery room just 2 months later. Day of surgery was good, felt very comfortable and taken care of. The first few days of recovery were a little rough which was to be expected, mostly feeling drowsy due to the pain meds. Recovery went on very smoothly. I had a couple follow-ups and everything moved along flawlessly. I was safe to start exercising/performing more strenuous physical tasks within around 2.5-3 months or so (your mileage may vary). I'll admit I haven't been hitting the gym quite as much as I promised myself I would, but I'm so much more comfortable with my body nowadays. I went from having like 90% of my day to day actions dictated by my self-consciousness to basically 0. I never think about my chest anymore and I love that. I'm writing this in May, the sun is finally out and I've had a few days of running errands in a t-shirt which is something I have NEVER done in my adult life before. I'm eternally grateful to Dr. Bray and his staff, and I'm going to do my best to stay fit and take advantage of my new positive self-image.
My journey to a lower body lift. In my mid 30s, after 2 pregnancies,I had a panniculectomy (apron) surgery due to poor elasticity in my skin. This is the removal of hanging skin in the lower abdomen. Dr. Bray was doing his plastic surgery residency at Sunnybrook Hospital. This surgery was very transforming for me. I was very happy with the results and follow up I received along the way. I took notice of his name and never forgot it. I'm now 64 lost additional weight and again suffered from sagging skin all around my lower trunk and upper thighs. I was referred to Dr. Bray for this type of surgery as he is an expert. Upon hearing his name I was thrilled as I already knew of him. I immediately decided to consult with him and had a lower body lift with Fleur de Lys tummy tuck. I am extremely happy with my results and am blessed to have met this gifted surgeon. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bray as a plastic surgeon. His bedside manner is very kind and understanding. His staff, nurses Paulette, Andrea and administrative staff Dwayna are helpful, kind and totally approachable. Blessed to have had this experience.
Dr Bray is one of the best surgeons in Toronto. I've just had my 3rd surgery with him and his highly professional team. Shout out to Paul (anaesthetist) and Mark (nurse practitioner). They took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was comfortable in the operating room. I spent a night recovering in the clinic, so a big thank you to recovery nurse Stephanie, who is as kind as she is competent. And a big shout out to Rowena and Diane who provided 5☆ post-op treatment. They were like 2 angels who took great care of me. Finally, my deepest gratitude goes to Paulette for her usual first class pre and post-op care. Last but not least, a big thank you to Dwayna (Leads Coordinator) and Andrea (Patient Care Coordinator) who are just amazing!
I had mole removal last year at his clinic at Toronto Western. Before we decided to go with the procedure, Dr. Bray explained everything very clearly and relieved me from a lot of stress. When I went in on the day of the procedure, I was very anxious as the moles were on my face. Within 15 minutes, it was over! I did not feel any pain at all. The area healed very well and no scars left! Thank you Dr. Bray for everything!
