Relaxed and intimate setting with excellent quality and prepared course. Tasted really good and would come again soon. Best value a professional, friendly, and authentic omakase experience

Fantastic service, incredible food and a memorable night. Was my first omakase experience and I’m really glad it was here. The chef was a really nice guy and every dish was memorable and delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique dining experience with high quality, fresh seafood. 10/10!

We had an incredible omakase experience at Kaito Sushi tonight — truly a special meal. Every single piece of fish was top quality, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Some highlights for us: the aka ebi (red shrimp) was outstanding — not the usual ama ebi you find elsewhere, with a perfect, almost al dente texture. The anago (saltwater eel) was warm, sweet, and so delicate — one of the best we’ve ever had. And we splurged for the premium Hokkaido uni supplement — completely worth it, creamy and luxurious. We also loved the thoughtful touches like the hickory-smoked salmon under a cloche — a dramatic and delicious moment — and the way each piece was perfectly brushed so you could eat it with your hands, just as it should be. It’s a small, intimate restaurant, and you can really feel the care and skill in every course. Incredible value for the quality of seafood and the overall experience. We will definitely be coming back soon! The biggest surprise was actually at the end of the night when the bill came and we realized what an incredible value it was! One of our most memorable intimate Omakase experiences and incredible value for the money! An easy five stars! Thank you Chef for the experience!

It was my first Omakase and liked it. It’s the only one I could reasonably afford and we went there for no special occasion, just fun. If you want Omakase experience, I recommend. The other group with us were also “returner” of the place.

Literally got ROBBED from this place hahaha. Made a reservation for tonight (7:45pm) and was really really excited, but because of the snowstorm we made the wise choice to cancel (for our safety on the road and Uber was $60 for one-way). Tried to call the restaurant to explain this- but they did not pick up. So my only option was to cancel online. Was hit with the $75 cancellation fee, understandable, but I decided to call and ask if there was any possibility to waive this fee or put it towards a later reservation. They apologetically rejected which was fine. After discussing with my partner, we decided we’d try to ask if we can come in anyway and brave the snow + the $60 uber. This is where it went downhill. I called just to ask- if we could come in for our 7:45 reservation, could we use the cancellation fee that we were already charged for, towards our bill. She didn’t say yes or no, but asked to confirm if I wanted the 7:45 table back, which before saying yes I asked again if the cancellation fee would be put towards the bill. I expressed that I did not want to travel all the way there just for them to tell us that they cannot put the cancellation fee towards our bill. She then reverted and said that the 7:45 table was all of a sudden taken. I asked to confirm that in the 15 minutes that we had been talking, somebody had already booked the table. Which respectfully, in this weather, seemed unbelievable. She said yes and that the only available table would be at 9:30pm, still not confirming if the cancellation fee would be put towards our bill. It seemed that she did not want to answer my question because she just wanted to secure a reservation, and have us find out when we come in. She could have just been honest and said no, and that we would have to be charged the full bill. At that point, it seemed smarter to take the L and be charged the $80 cancellation fee rather than go in, and get stuck being charged another $75/person and losing the $80 to nothing. Being charged a cancellation fee is understandable, but when cancelling due to a snowstorm, that fee is frustrating. Everything that happened after trying to make it work despite the snow storm and the extra expense on uber is what made it actually upsetting. This definitely made us not want to reschedule, and I hope no one else has dealt with this today, as I’ve seen past reviews with similar issues.

Booked online a few weeks prior for a friend's birthday for a party of 4 and received the confirmation email and text message for the 9:30pm slot. We drove more than 1.5 hours to this restaurant and was looking forward to eating here. We got there but they did not see our reservation even though their system showed we were confirmed. We also mentioned we are not from the country and not able to book another time. They told us there was nothing they can do for us but offered for us to eat in the waiting area or there was nothing else they can do for us and told us to leave. Ruined our birthday and we finally could eat around 11pm elsewhere as all other restaurants had no last minute booking. Will never come back and will never recommend people to come here. The lack of professionalism and lack of accountability was a big turn off. Edit: The apology was only after the situation was escalated and no accountability regardless and shifting the blame away from the business' responsibility.

UPDATE TO ADD because i couldn’t respond: the response from the restaurant is misleading. We asked what could be done since it was not possible to come 20 minutes later- default response was lose the money, we asked for alternatives (different day or takeout) as we mentioned we had a small baby and we couldn’t go out super late because of that. After my husband was pleading with them - he had them on speaker, they said we should either forfeit the reservation and pay almost 200 dollars or go at 9:30 pm. They also said their space couldn’t accommodate with the baby and just seemed eager to take our money without providing any service. AVOID THIS PLACE Save your money for actual good omakase in jcc or Kaji or have better sushi for a fraction of the price at nami or Hana don. Rice was sour. Mind you, Had to do takeout because they would not allow us to arrive 20 min later than the reservation time -we called to ask as our sitter was running late due to unforeseen circumstances. Called the restaurant to explain the situation and they were inflexible and unkind about it, sadly. They just wanted to charge us without coming. We insisted that they allow is to do take out and they finally accepted. Received the sushi and it was ok, not worth the price tag. The final disappointment was the use of smoked salmon for a roll. Overall a bad experience

Today 12 people canceled the reservation due to the harsh weather, which may damage us $936. If we make everyone exception, how do we make profits? so we made the people who canceled today compromise that we only charge half price of omakase.

You didn't mention that we said sorry many times and We promised you for free meal, $165 value, for another day. Technically there's nothing we can do because it's technical error.

You wanted to move your reservation to another day on the reserved day but according to our policy you cannot change your reservation within 48 hours. We suggested 9:30 seating instead on the reserved day but you refused it and you wanted take-out option.
