The other day it was so cold and I stopped in here to have a late dinner. I was met with the kindest service by Jyoti (sorry if I misspelled) and she recommended I get the Okinawa roll and I trusted her and I am so happy I did!!! It was so delicious and felt it was made with love and all the different flavours coming out of it. And atmosphere and people there working were so kind and friendly. The Chef (I think his name was Jimmy sorry!) was so kind and shared they updated their menu and so, I definitely will be a reoccurring customer. Honestly I am still thinking about this roll. Thank you for being so kind and warming me up and filling my tummy!
Came here by chance and am pleasantly happy with the food. Ordered sashimi and they were all fresh. The staffs were also very attentive and friendly. Will gladly recommend this restaurant.
We had a great experience here, and we were only there to pick up takeout food! The staff were friendly and engaging. We even had a great chat with the management. You can tell they really care about the neighbourhood and take pride in being part of it (so do we). The food was excellent, fresh, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is spotless, and it’s clear the owners put a lot of care into keeping everything clean and welcoming. We live in the area and will definitely be coming back often. It’s wonderful to have a great Japanese restaurant in the neighbourhood. We want this place to stay open for many years to come, so we highly recommend it. Enjoy! Anthony and Johanna
I’ve walked by this place many times, but never gone in until recently. It’s been renovated in a way that’s unpretentious and charming. Quite cozy on a cold afternoon. We had ramen and sushi, and they were both great. I’ve seen a few reviews complaining about price/portion size, but I actually thought it was great value. The ramen is less expensive than chains like Kinton, and still satisfying. My tonkotsu came with 4 thick pieces of juicy, tender pork, and I was blown away by how tasty they were. It rarely seems busy, so I hope more people see this and stop by! I think it’s a bit of a hidden gem⭐️❤️
The Venus roll is absolutely incredible. The tempura was well above average too. The service was so attentive and our waitress was sure to treat our daughter extra special - this goes a long way with a baby and young child out for dinner. We are thrilled with our little family date night I very rarely leave reviews but I am so happy - enjoy your visit!
I was a big fan of Guirei- Maguro is a lovely face lift and overall upgrade! Nice physical refresh of the place; patio is prettier, interior is much nicer. Service on my first visit was top notch, the chef behind the counter and server were so personable, warm, welcoming. Efficient without being obtrusive. Food was INCREDIBLE. Both of my orders came with complimentary upgrades. The basic food itself is so flavour filled, clearly using proper and fresh ingredients. Bit pricier than Guirei, but you clearly get what you pay for. I had just finished an intensely long day at work. Treated myself to a pint and meal while overlooking the waterfront and Music Garden. It was truly perfect all around. Thank you, see you again very soon.
There's a live sushi station. New team and management. Still figuring out things a bit. But staff is courteous. Gyozas are great, and loved the spicy ramen. Definitely going back to try more
