Decent sushi at a very reasonable price. The guy taking orders and handing out the takeouts today (Oct. 17 5pm) was great! Very nice, communicative, and prompt.
We popped in here before a concert and had an wonderful experience. The sushi rolls were delicious as was the karaage. The server, who was working her first day, was delightful. I'd would definitely recommend Monkey Sushi to anyone.
!!!DO NOT EAT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! Served stale butterfish and tried to hide it under a crap ton of sauce. Tasted like wet rotten garbage. Left a slimy tingling coating in my girlfriend’s mouth. Update: We’re breaking out in hives. We have no allergies so something is definitely wrong with the food.
Hi Rosedale Monkey Sushi Team, I’ve been a regular customer for several years and have always enjoyed your food, but over the past 6–12 months I’ve noticed a decline in quality. The rolls have become smaller, and the Spicy Alaska Roll (8) in particular now contains very little salmon. In my most recent order, I even found salad leaves mixed into the box, and the filling seemed to be mostly panko crumbs with mayonnaise rather than fish. I understand prices have gone up everywhere, but the quality doesn’t feel consistent with what I used to expect. Unfortunately, it’s no longer my go-to choice as it once was.
Amazing service and food! Richie made sure we were comfortable and well served. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. The server was the best view of the place, he was such an eye candy. Overall, Highly recommended to friends and family!
We come to Monkey Sushi often and it’s always great. Today our order came super fast, and the food was fresh, tasty, and filling as always. Highly recommend!
Edit: They have signs on their tables offering a free can of pop to anyone who leaves them a 5 star review, so bear that in mind as you read the reviews here. Ordered the veggie lunch and the waiter brought our yam rolls still in their original clear plastic containers, so obviously they didn't make it fresh. In fact the sushi looked downright old. It was only then that I noticed how shabby the place looked, with worn out chairs and such. Then we saw a cockroach and that was that. Paid for the yam sushi and got out of there, complaint filed with Dine Safe. I see some people saying they got food poisoning here. Can't say I'm surprised, this place doesn't seem sanitary at all.
