A great option for sushi and rolls in midtown. We always order from this place and they are very flexible with accomdating our requests for the kids. Fast service and friendly staff.
I don’t understand why the reviews are so mixed, because for me it’s definitely a big YES! The food is fresh, well balanced, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, I think this is the best sushi spot around Eglinton. Last time, I dined in, and this time I ordered takeout. Even after bringing it home, the sushi was beautifully made and stayed intact. The staff and the owner were very kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. My young niece likes to go for sushi with me when I have her on a night out. As I have not been impressed with a location she loves on St Clair, I thgouht we would try something by Eglinton and Avenue Road. Found Tokyo Sushi, it was a Saturday evening, we found a table. We placed our order with a young man approximately 19 years old. He brought us some lovely apps to try and I was impressed my niece tried them. A glass noodle with peanut butter and some sort of pancake with shrimp, egg and sweet potato. Probably the best spicy sushi piza i've had in years. The kid even ate mine. All rolls were flavourful. didn't taste like every other roll. The young man is self taught and fluent i Japanese and wants to go to university there next year. Hope he does. hoping to go Saturday again.thank you for a yummy meal and enjoyable service. Crista
i ordered here for the first time and as soon as i walked in, i just sensed the feeling of comfort. the place just overall has a nice atmosphere, felt the warmth of the employees greeting me. sushi is one of my best comfort food and today i felt down and i made the right decision to visit this place. def coming here again once i get a chance to.
Stopped in for a quick take out order and it was amazing! The staff were so kind and lovely, teriyaki salmon bento was delicious, the salmon was so fresh and cooked perfectly. Great price. Can’t rave enough.
Used to order from here all the time for take out and delivery… now I can’t get my favourite dish without added stuff I don’t want to eat.. I don’t like California roll or straight sushi.. can’t have beef bulgogi with just tempura.. ridiculous forcing me to look for a new sushi restaurant… I don’t feel like paying money to throw food I don’t want to eat in the garbage but you can get all other types of chicken or beef how they used to have it on their menu.. must be new owners or something, food isn’t even as good as it used to be.. so sad
This was, honestly, some of the worst sushi I've had in a long time. We actually threw some of it out rather than wasting calories on it. All rolls were subpar, but the spicy tuna took the cake: there was no spice, and there was no tuna! Literally: no tuna. It was just a big fat spicy tempura roll (minus the spice). Pictures attached for those who think I'm exaggerating. Won't be back. ___ The restaurant has just responded by suggesting that my review was not honest, that the food was not theirs. This is unacceptable and deeply disturbing. In response, I am attaching my receipt from the "dinner" we were served. Note the phone number, which matches theirs. I'll assume they won't suggest I falsified this as well. Be better Tokyo Sushi.
