Went for an x-ray for suspected pneumonia. Overheard the unprofessional staff even say pneumonia when discussing my x-ray. They never sent the x-ray to my doctor's office and now they are closed because it's Friday. I'm furious. They've wasted my time and delayed me getting treatment.
The people working are always nice, but I do have a little feedback which I hope won't be taken negatively because it's not meant to be. I called to ask if I need to make an appointment for an xray and the lady said no, you can walk-in but usually before 12pm or after 2pm, I said no problem I'll come right away, and arrived about 11am. I didn't ask anything about the waiting time, and I have no problem waiting for an indeterminate amount of time, I know it gets busy in clinics and that people have appointments, but the lady asked for my healthcard and said have a seat, it shouldn't be more than 15 minutes. The waiting room was fairly empty, only a few people. Over time, the waiting room filled up, full, and emptied, then filled up again, and started to empty again. An elderly lady went back up to the desk to ask if she was up soon because someone had told her "20 minutes" and she had waited an hour, and as she was asking, they called her. At this point, I had been waiting almost an hour myself. At about 1 hour 20 minutes of waiting, the waiting room was completely empty and I was the only person left, and 3 more people just walked in. It's about 12:25pm, so we're after the "recommended time" that the lady had told me about on the phone which was 12-2pm, and I'm left wondering if maybe someone forgot about me or something, since I keep thinking about the lady telling me it shouldn't be more than 15 minutes. After the 3 new people talk to the receptionist, I get up to ask if I was forgotten about or where I am in the line, and they said I was next, and after a few minutes I got called in, and the xray took less than 60 seconds and I was done. Again, everybody here is really nice, and I know the technicians and everyone else are busy, and I waited patiently the entire time and have no problem waiting as long as it takes, but maybe in the future if people are told "15 or 20 minutes", someone should check in and tell them that it may actually be longer when that time has passed, just so people aren't left wondering what's going on and if they were forgotten, and I already feel bad for getting up to ask after waiting an hour and a half almost, so I would feel even worse to get up and ask after waiting just 20 or 30 minutes like the lady had initially said, and I hate having to do that because I don't want to bother the staff when they already are handling a lot. During the wait time though the staff were helpful to a lot of the patients and even someone who had lost their form, so again, the people here are really nice.
No one seemed particularly happy to be there. The facilities themselves are ok, but they lose 2 stars for not having a website and online booking. If they had that I'd probably go back, but the fact that as a medical office they haven't kept up to date with basic industry standards makes me question if their clinicians are also stuck in the past and refuse to stay current on the technology in their field.
I did a drop in for an X-Ray and there was no line-up (less than a 1 minute wait to get in; I was there about 10:45am on a Monday) and the results were at my doctor's the next day! Easy to get to (right by Pape Station) though signage wasn't that clear (they're in the basement)
I went for an xray 2 weeks ago and still have no results. They are not a digital clinic . Still on film. Might be the reason why I haven’t received my results
Location is good, just 1 min.walk from Pape Subway. Its walk-in and the waiting is not long. Receptionist is very helpful, she even help me call a cab coz im in pain. I recommended with 5 star.
Very friendly and well mannered receptionist. The x-ray tech was also very polite and concerned. I was in and out in ten minutes. I will return in the future if any more x-rays are needed. Located right beside pape subway.
