We booked this restaurant for a private event on Saturday night, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the delicious Korean-Mexican fusion dishes, to the creative and unique cocktails, and most importantly, the unparalleled service - we couldn't have imagined a better venue to celebrate a 30th birthday.. Thank you Happy and Philip for helping us throw such an incredible party!

Such a great hidden gem! We came across Gochu Libre by chance and were so impressed. The mix of Korean and Mexican flavors is super creative and everything tasted amazing. The zucchini chips were perfectly crunchy, the Ajo broccolini was unique and balanced, and the Seoul steak… wow — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Their cocktails were all really good too, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality and location. The vibe is cozy and romantic — perfect for a date night or just hanging out with friends. Don’t miss their happy hour from 5–7pm for some great cocktail deals! Highly recommend checking this place out if you love finding new food spots that feel special.

I first saw this place on TikTok and had saved it for when my boyfriend and I were in the area. We were meeting a friend for dinner and decided to make a reservation although it wasn’t needed on a Wednesday evening. The hype was definitely worth it! Everything we had was delicious! The drinks were the best. The personal favorite of the table was the Birria Croquettes and the shot of the Omija Paloma that we had. Also the service was great! I’m honestly waiting for the day we can come back and try more things.

This is by far one of the best restaurant / bars I’ve been to in Toronto!!! The cocktails are unique, flavorful, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. I rarely leave reviews but this place has my heart. Some of my recommended dishes: zucchini chips, birria ramyeon (wow), the pork skewers. The staff are super friendly and the vibes are also very nice. Ambience, food + drinks = 5 stars. Highly recommend and will be coming back FOR SURE!!!!!

An amazing Korean-Mexican Fusion restaurant! I was in Toronto for a week from LA, and one night while exploring the city, I was feeling like having Korean Tacos for dinner. I searched on Google and little did I know that there was one on the same street as my hotel (Bloor), but several subway stops away. So I hopped on the TTC and came here by myself on a Thursday night around 8 in the summer. It was busy but not too packed. All of the staff greeted me and sat me at the bar right as I walked in. Each person was attentive and took great care of me. I ordered the Smash Fries, the Carnitas, the Al Pastor, and the Bulgogi tacos. Everything was so delicious! If I'm ever back in Toronto, I will certainly come here again! Thank you Gochu Libre for satisfying this boy's LA need for Korean Tacos!

Delicious Korean-Mexican fusion, with creative and complimentary flavours and ingredients, both in the cocktails and the food. Like the bulgogi taco had a slight sweetness to the meat while working well with the more traditional Mexican toppings of a barbacoa taco. Service was friendly, and the outdoor patio is very chill while the inside is incredibly stylish modern art deco vibes. Mr. Kim in particular is a unique drink, and while the tacos were delicious and filling, the birria ramen was a surprising highlight for its depth of flavours.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. My friend and I arrived around 7pm and ordered food (guacamole and 4 tacos), it took 1.5 hours before we got the guacamole and by 9pm we still hadn’t gotten all 4 tacos. The food we did get wasn’t particularly good. By 9pm, we told them we had to leave despite not getting all our food and they did offer to take all the food off the bill, but overall it was not an enjoyable experience.

Hey Kristina, we're terribly sorry for the wait. We're still working out the hiccups in the kitchen as we're still in our soft open. On the weekends, our small kitchen gets a little overwhelmed. We're working on getting everything done more efficiently. We hope you'll give us another try in a few weeks! Please let us know, and we would be happy to take care of your visit.
