I go there often and I usually get the cook with glasses — he’s very friendly and makes delicious poké bowls. But tonight it wasn’t him: the person was really unpleasant, the poké was thrown together carelessly, and it didn’t taste the same at all… I’m very disappointed.
After years of disappointing service, this week was the final straw. As the only poke spot in Liberty, we’ve given this place more chances than we should have. The food is okay, portions seem bigger than they are because of the hefty rice base (rather than toppings), and we stopped ordering seafood because it often looked gross, grey, tasted fishy and not fresh. The bigger issue is the customer service: staff rarely greet customers, ignore allergy notes, add ingredients that weren’t requested, and I’ve even shown up for Ritual pickups (for orders that were accepted and paid for) during open hours only to find the store closed. This week we placed an order through Uber Eats. 40mins later, our driver messaged us saying the employee refused to finish our order before serving walk-ins and was being extremely rude. When he finally arrived, very visibly shaken, he said he had never been treated so poorly by a restaurant in 26,000+ deliveries. If you can’t manage both walk-ins and online orders with one staff member, don’t accept online orders- and definitely don’t take it out on customers or drivers. We’re done supporting a restaurant that doesn’t seem to care about quality, food safety or customer experience.
Classic salmon bowl was so good. avocado chicken is good too but teriyaki sauce can be too salty at times! ask for it on the side! portion size is big (snack)
The bowl was pretty big. I had a hard time finishing it. The ingredients fit so well with one another. It's just a small little shop so there's really little seating space.
We had to rush so I ran in to get some quick food for the road. The portion was generous and the ingredients were fresh enough (the salad seemed a bit rotten), but the service was far from satisfactory - I was talking to the man’s back most of the time and couldn’t hear what he was saying. This attitude as if he couldn’t wait to throw me out so he could return to his peace was enough to stop me from going back again. enough said. It’s a takeout place. Dark and kinda dirty inside, but chairs on the patio you can sit and eat.
Food: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Price point: 4/5 One of the best Poké’s I’ve had!! Everything tasted delicious and freshly made! The wait time wasn’t too long to get our order and the gentlemen behind the counter was nice! Definitely would recommend this great little gem!
Tasty fresh and filling. I'm not sure what traditional Poké is supposed to taste like, but they should all be this good. The food is made fresh right in front of you if you walk in to pick up they promptly say hello they made my meals fresh in 5 min. And talk about consistency they have been reliable for years.
