Came in for a quick drink, stayed for the good vibes. The decor was really fun and the overall atmosphere was really lovely. I’m from the US, they could tell almost immediately and treated me with kindness and patience. They even let my small group sit down to eat our pizza from next door! Wonderful place, I would absolutely come back to Toronto just to hang out here again. (I also totally forgot to tip because I was struggling with Canadian currency, I feel terrible but wasn’t scolded or anything. Bartender, you rule, I will be back to tip you and learn your name someday!)
This place has quickly become my favourite spot in the neighbourhood. The owner and all the staff make you feel like family and the other patrons are super sweet and respectful. 10/10 can’t recommend it enough. Also the back patio is cute as hell
If I could rate this place higher I would cheap drinks immaculate vibes, decor and music this bar has it all! Karaoke nights on mondays are a blast, fantastic pop ups featuring local Artists, Chefs, and makers of all kinds outrageously good dance parties and hands down the sexiest and best bartenders on Dundas west.
truly the best bar in the city. from the first day i went there all the bartenders, the owner, and customers have been nothing but sweet, gentle, heart warming, funny, hot, cool, and extraordinarily kind people. a true community exists in this bar. mamas forever. you’ll find your favourite people here.
Mama’s is so full of love and life and kindness. And the decor vibes my god. Fill your cup and your heart y’all mamas is the spot to be 11 stars for the decor the drinks but most importantly the incredible collection of folks that sling it all and always make you feel like you’re home with open hearts.
Good atmosphere and drink selection. Bartender was very rude. Ignored me several times because other patreons didnt tip enough. The bartender told me if i wanted to be served, i would have to tip (more than i already did) to make up for the lack of tips. Really upsetting behaviour. Wont be going again.
Place is nice and cozy. Food is not bad, staff seems pretty friendly and helpful. Just a few things to keep in mind: 1. You have to bring cash. Although there's an ATM. Food and drinks is cash only. 2. You order food at the table and drinks at the bar. So even if you order food at the table be prepared to standup and go to the bar for water, pop or alcohol. 3. The big boy root beer...I'm a huge fan of root beer so I was really curious about this cocktail drink. It was was awful. I don't recommend it, it just doesn't taste good. That said. Still a great place to visit. Good fries and great nuggets. I heard the burger was pretty good too (didn't try it). Their night shows are a lot of fun too. Edit: They replied explaining that their menu and drinks rotates and they dont always do food. Updating review to 5 stars
