The highest price I've paid for an Americano in Toronto. Almost 7$. The coffee was served in a 16 once cup filled to the brim with water, which diluted it to the point of tastelessness. I don't think the underlying flavour was any good either. Threw it out when I got home. I don't go out of my way to leave bad reviews, but at these prices (especially in a historically working class part of the city) this place must think it's pretty special... meh.
If Toronto cafes had a personality, AD Cafe would be the effortlessly cool friend who’s always got great taste. Tucked along Davenport, it’s a seriously cute spot with modern charm, but everything on the menu is crafted with old-school care. We popped in just before their menu refresh, and still, every bite and sip was giving ✨quality✨. The tuna sandwich we had on the day we went was fresh and flavourful, and the chocolate & almond croissant had that dreamy buttery flake situation going on. Their matcha was smooth and calming, while the coffee brought that cozy energy we needed. The cafe is stunning; as you walk in it is bright and airy with beautiful marble bistro tables lining the window. The staff was extremely pleasant and hospitablr. The pastries and desserts in the display counter looked fresh and pretty but tasted even better. I came for the carrot cake; the best Ive had! Can't wait to return!
This is a beautiful, well curated space with amazing food, drinks and a warm welcoming staff. Highly, highly recommend the carrot cake. It 's the best in the city. I' ve been for lunch and for drinks in the evening. Totally different vibe from afternoon to evening but both are amazing. Great place for after work drinks. You won't be disappointed!
Absolutely amazing. I had a chicken sandwich today which I haven’t tasted so delicious before. For desert I had a fresh carrot cake with a very nice cappuccino. Must try!!
