No one seems to care. I found a foreign object (something like a wire) in a coconut green rice smoothie, which raised serious concerns. I tried emailing customer service but received no response. Please be careful if you buy drinks here.
The tastes are still as great as the authentic tastes of the original Cong caphe brand back in Vietnam. The staff are friendly and provide quick service Highly recommend trying the signature menu
One of my favorite things to order here, surprisingly is not the Vietnamese coffee but the mung bean smoothie. Mung beans reminds me of che which is a Vietnamese bean dessert drink. It's a very interesting taste and texture. I'm not really sure how to describe this drink and flavor, but I would say it's an acquired taste. If you're feeling adventurous and looking for something other than Viet coffee to order, you can try this! Whenever I'm in this area, I always order this smoothie even if it's cold. I just love the taste of it and it reminds me of literally being Vietnamese. I know that's weird to say but I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's a very Vietnamese flavor.
I wish I had tried something other than the coconut coffee when I came here for the first time, because it's sooo good that that's all I ever order from here lol I'm sure all the other drinks are delicious, but the coconut coffee is the best I've ever had!
The drinks here are unique and flavourful. Most recently I got the coconut green rice slush - it was creamy, nutty, sweet and and had a wonderful complexity to it that was subtle and smooth. The coffee beverages especially the slush one have all been amazing. Must try, will be going back.
I ordered the Vietnamese (phin) brown coffee and its equally strong and sweet. I normally come here with my laptop and sit downstairs where its less loud and dimmer. There is a long bench here suited for studying and sth like a piano bench. It has a very nostalgic vietnamese home vibe because of the wooden decor, favric pattern and furniture. Downstairs there are two plugs and outlets (but not very close to table, so u would need a long cord)
I stopped in hoping to tryout the breakfast Bánh Mì I had seen on IG but unfortunately it was taken off their menu a while ago. So instead I grabbed the lemongrass chicken. The bánh mì was great, the chicken was seasoned nicely, the baguette had a good texture, not too soft but also not a rock. I also grabbed a hot brown coffee which had a good mix of bitter and sweet notes. Service was, despite the seating and empty shop I wasn’t asked whether I planned to eat inside or wanted take away, I was just given my items in takeout style which did make having the bánh mì a little inconvenient. The interior of the shop is cute but the seating on the first floor is a little uncomfortable. All said if I’m in the area in craving a bánh mì I might stop in to checkout on of their 2 other options. Having gone back and had the pork bánh mì, I would say prefer the lemongrass chicken. The brown coffee also works well iced but avoid having it late as it is quite strong.
