I like the overall atmosphere, but there was a lack of warmth… the staff were chatting away with friends that came to visit blocking the display case, no welcome or smile. I appreciate that it’s a small business with thoughtful decor, but the tables went not cleaned for awhile either. The matcha mochi dessert is just mochi, and very hard to cut into. I would’ve appreciated more balance between the baked good and mochi.
Cozy cafe, but limited indoor seats I got earl grey matcha and matcha mochi cake. Matcha is very creamy mix well with earl grey syrup. Cake is very chewy.
Finally got around to trying this spot. There is seating inside and outside. Inside, you have seats in the main floor but also downstairs next to the restrooms. The strawberry matcha latte was decent, and the egg and hashbrown bread was interesting. Friendly staff. It's a good neighborhood spot.
Butter & Blue has such a cozy vibe and interior. The cafe is quite bright and well lit. They have a wide selection of delicious pastries and baked goods. I tried the tomato mozzarella along with their early grey matcha latte and they were perfect.
I really enjoy this café — the coffee is excellent and the baked goods are always fresh and delicious. The staff here are genuinely kind, welcoming, and make the place feel warm and inviting. However, one thing that really affects the overall experience is how the seating area is managed. The space is constantly filled with people working on laptops or tablets, often sitting with a single cup of coffee for hours. Because of this, it becomes almost impossible for others to find a spot, especially on weekends when it’s naturally busier. It would really benefit the café (and its customers) if management implemented a time-limit policy for laptop or tablet use during peak hours or weekends. This would help ensure that everyone — not just those using the café as a workspace — can enjoy the space, sit down, and actually enjoy the great coffee and food they offer. I love this place, but a bit of structure around seating and device use would make the experience so much better for everyone.
Super cute spot! The only downside is that there’s not enough seating until you go down the stairs and are met with another room! Lovely staff, yummy treats, and good coffee.
Basically hot chocolate should be creamy, rich, chocolaty and thick but sadly it was soooo thin just steamed milk that too with coco powder, not sweet at all, it tasted like a latte However service and presentation was up to mark, definitely should go for other cafes if want to try a relish of creamy hot chocolate
