Unfortunately was not the best experience. My daughter wanted to get a tissue as her glasses were covered with rain drops before she ordered and the person on the counter was so rude!
This is an underrated coffee shop! They have quite a few tasty flavored coffee! I always buy small coffee of either Vanilla Hazelnut or Toasted coconut flavor! And it costs less than 3 dollar! Full support to them.
La Barista is a hub of real, true humanity, warmth and care. plus their coffee and treats are unbeatable, I love their egg croissant for a breakfast on the go!
The breads (eg lemon loaf, banana bread) here are very hit or miss. The bread is good when it’s fresh but they will serve bread that is more than a day old and refrigerated which can often be quite unpleasant. Old bread should be tossed or discounted.
I was excited to try this place, but coffee & pastry was not what I expected. I got biscotti, but it was too hard!! Dipping it in coffee to soften it didn't even help. It wasn't tasty as well, but it's a clean place.
Definitely appreciated the customer service!! Got to try their latte a second time and specified I wanted one with sugar and not aspartame. Apparently the vanilla latte is sugar free and contains aspartame which I didn’t know and ordered the first time round. Definitely do not order that one if you’re not a fan of aspartame like myself. I got the caramel iced latte on my second visit which was not too sweet. Coffee felt stronger than other lattes I get from Starbucks and elsewhere.
Always a great experience - they have catered coffee and snacks for our office many times, and the coffee is always amazing. I am not a flavoured coffee guy, but try the toasted coconut coffee. The owner is a great guy, always in a great mood. Lots of great seating, and always clean. Check them out next to the GoodLife in the downstairs of the St. Clair Centre.
