As a matcha lover, I had to try this place out as many reviews were like best matcha latte ever. After trying the first sip, it was very disappointing. It just tasted like milk not matcha latte at all. I asked the staff (or owner? I’m not sure… she didn’t seem happy when I asked her) if she can fix the flavour by putting more matcha powder. It was very slightly better after she added more powder but the flavour was still very diluted and weak. Tasted like 5% matcha powder, 45% milk, 50% water whereas other places’ matcha lattes are like 60% match powder, 40% milk. (Flavour-wise) Didn’t wanna keep asking for more powder tho as it seems like this is the flavour they go for. Just wanted to share my experience so those who love matcha latte won’t be disappointed like I did.
I had a nice coffee there today. It’s located in a cozy spot, allowing me to sit and chat with an old friend for an hour while enjoying our drinks. The owner was friendly and professional; she offered to heat up milk for us to add, along with milk foam on top of our cups. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
