I’ve tried. I keep trying. I don’t know why. I used to always hear about this spot when living in the west end but was so disappointed after moving down the street 3 years ago. The first time I went was one of the rudest customer service experiences I’ve had at any cafe in the entire city and instantly turned me off from going again. A year later though I thought I’d try again, maybe the staff has changed or something was off at the time. Sadly it was the same, I was treated like garbage when I asked about one of their drinks. The barista literally asked me “why do I care?”. And STILL I tried another year later (this week) and this barista gave me such attitude too! I thought it was me at this point but I got together with an east end group who all told me that none of them go there anymore because of the constant rudeness. I really hope the cafe can have a comeback and turn things around because we need long-standing Toronto shops to keep existing. I wish them the best but I can’t try a fourth time.

Really great experience with my son (2.5yo) the other day when he changed his mind about his order. Staff were extra accommodating and kind. Would go back 10/10.

Coffee tastes like bad and made me sick! The coffee smelled weird but I thought of it nothing but it could be the machine or something made it smell bad. My stomach hurting me now.

Honestly I’ve been here a couple times because I love so close to here, but the coffee is so bad (the espresso always tastes burnt, somehow) and I have never once had pleasant service. I would strongly recommend passing on coming here. There are several better options on Queen St E.

It’s so unfortunate, this coffee shop has been around for so long and it use to feel like a neighborhood spot. The service is so bad now, the staff ignores you, most are just talking/gossiping among themselves…everything takes so long cause they clearly do not care and expect a 20% tip on a coffee. I’ve talked to others that live in the area and that’s the general experience for them too. It’s just sad because the coffee is really good and it’s a vibe.

Paid 7 dollars for a matcha late ...when asked if they put sugar or sweetner in it the response was "no, there is liquid sugar on the counter." NEVER AGAIN!

Coffee is great but the staff are very rude and seem entitled. I go there regularly cause they make amazing coffee but always disappointed with the staff’s consistent attitudes across the board

I'm sorry you had that experience, not usually the case. I find my staff quite lovely but i'll have a chat with them.
