Had a relaxing stay at TEAKO. The owner is super warm and hospitable, and the cafe is cozy and inviting. I had an Earl Grey hot chocolate, which was perfect, not too sweet. Also an order of lumpia. The owner gave me a choice of vinegar or sweet plum sauce, and I went with the vinegar. Lumpia was freshly cooked and piping hot. There are only 3 tables, which was fine at the time because it was only me, and not at peak hours. They have lots of savoury Filipino meal options in addition to the treats and drinks. There was an amazing looking ube cookie that might be for next time I'm in the area.
Fresh, delicious food and generous portions!! Everything I've tried so far is excellent. I look forward to going in, because the owner and staff are so friendly and kind. Teako is a local gem!
Hands down, the best Boba we've had in Toronto. Service was so friendly. Crêpes were delicate and perfectly cooked. Absolutely delicious Filipino specialties like Chicken Adobo as well. Iced tea and lemonade was perfect on a hot summer day. Will definitely be coming back as a regular!
Such a gem of a spot!! Got the mango matcha bubble tea (which was delicious!) then saw they have Filipino meals, tried the lemon chicken and pork sisig which was delicious. And the customer service is just lovely! Go check out Teako!
Pretty cool spot with a wide selection of tea. Check the pics. They gave us some samples to take home. They have food and some pastries, not sure if they carry the same stuff but every day. Easy parking around the area.
Went in to get some loose leaf tea for a friend and left with three little sample packets for myself and a blueberry scone. The woman behind the counter was as sweet as their baked goods and very helpful in making my tea selection. I got two half bags of tea, which she topped with a little extra because they were gifts, and she offered me the samples free of charge so I can try some too! Total with the scone was just over $35. I’ll definitely be back for some savoury food soon, the lumpia and adobo chicken especially caught my attention. Clean, cozy vibe place with a couple tables inside and out. And AC! A great spot for a snack on the go.
What a wonderful little café! They have a wide variety of tea and espresso drinks, as well as an extensive menu of all-day breakfast, sandwiches, waffles, crêpes and hot filipino food. They also have cookies, scones and a wide variety of delicious-looking baked goods. We had the kare kare and the lechon kawali, with two lemonade teas - one black tea and one pineapple hibiscus. Everything was delicious! The owners are also so kind, friendly and welcoming. They gave us a yema cake to try which was also delicious. Will definitely be back and would 100% recommend that anyone who finds themself in the area stop by :)
