This is a great coffee shop with fair pricing, a wide selection treats and has outlets at every seat if you need to do some work or charge any of your devices. Jamie is usually around when I come by and she's exceptional. Provides great service, attentive and very considerate. The place is always spotless and whether she'll brew you a fresh pot of coffee or take your order to your seat if you need to wash your hands before having a bite. She puts a lot of thought and consideration when it comes to her service - she is so earnest and heartwarming, absolutely phenomenal. What this coffee shop offers (Please see attached photos): everything. You can get breakfast: any sandwich and a coffee for 7.99. They have a number of items you can choose from. Both savoury and sweet, croissants, muffins, cookies, scone or even a lemon loaf. They offer a number of hot and cold drinks. As it is a cafe, I've attached a photo of their menu with pricing as well as some side additional and yogurt snacks they have. Love this place for a quick bite. Only comment I have in addition, is that I notice there is usually only a single staff operating the cafe, and as this is located next to a university, and a highschool, they do get rushes. I often see the staff have to handle everything by themselves. I'm not sure why this is the case but it seems a bit unfair. Other than that, this a great place to grab some coffee, quick breakfast or even catch up on a bit of work. It's centrally located and very fair priced. Treats are delicious. It's overall, a great all-in one stop.
Went here with my girlfriend after volunteering. Was a welcome rest from a weary day. The food was well priced and delicious! Iced coffee was serviceable. Staff was incredibly friendly. Atmosphere was very calm ( could be bougier, but that's ok.) if I lived closer I'd go everyday!
Today is my move-in day at UofT, and after visiting the bookstore, me and my family wanted to a place to relax. Terima caught our eye because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. After having the Iced Mango Americano and a complementary Lemon Cake (Yum!) I understand why. 10 / 10 would reccomend for an afternoon snack!
Sept. 26, 2024 updated post: - recently tried Terima's almond croissant and had to come back here to update my review. See images included - if you can get your hands on one of these almond croissants, do it (but try to save one for me!). Staff will ask if you want it warmed up. Make sure you say yes! It's fragrant and crunchy but the filling is the best part. I so appreciate that it's not too sweet. Goes really well with their freshly brewed coffee. Staff continue to be professional and polite. Love this place!!! Original post below: Just tried Terima, located near the University of Toronto, steps away from King's College Circle, on College St. Had to drop by here and give a quick review. It's nice to see a new place serving up a few different items alongside the expected coffee options. You know, sometimes you want an Americano but sometimes you just want something different. Well, my different was an iced taro latte which I'd never had before. I happened to be in the area on a hot day and really wanted something to drink. Didn't want anything too sweet, didn't want iced coffee, but also needed a caffeine fix. Came across Terima Coffee which I'd never been to before - it looked clean and inviting and that's what drew me in. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were courteous, polite, and professional. The store is quaint and sleek and feels really zen and cozy. I spotted the sign for a taro latte and decided to give it a try. This iced taro latte, for me, did not disappoint. I asked the staff if the drink was already sweetened and they said it had a hint of sweetness and that was perfect for me. I personally liked the light hint of taro which paired well with the fresh espresso (someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was espresso that I saw added to my drink but neglected to confirm with the staff). The drink was creamy, cool, and gave me the caffeine kick that I needed. Note: you can get this taro latte as iced or hot. For obvious reasons, I went with iced. I'd happily visit this store again and can see myself sitting in to enjoy my drink if I had time. So, if you happen to be in the area, you may want to give Terima Cofee and Pantry Bar a try!
I honestly don’t know what it is, but their coffee is soooo good. I can never go back to any other coffee shop. My go to is a latte with almond milk, and it’s so creamy! Even tho I’m not a coffee drinker I know this place is good because it tastes good even after the coffee gets cold?
service is normal but the frozen yogurt is just soft serve. they advertise 3.99 for frozen yogurt with toppings but then toppings are extra. if you want frozen yogurt go to menchies instead.
Came here to grab something the go this morning. Got the Masala Chai Latte and an Almond Croissant. The chai latte was good --- not a very strong chai flavor (for me), which I like. The almond croissant was just like any other -- quite soft yet flaky and quite a bit of almonds on top.
