The almond croissant was delicious and so was the spinach artichoke pastry. Seating was bar-style — a long counter by the window with about 10–12 stools. It is located along a barbershop in the same venue, which to me was is a bit weird.

Review: The café has a cute, cozy atmosphere, but my experience was disappointing due to a rude interaction with the manager. After purchasing food and eating while working quietly, the manager told me, “We are usually busy on Saturdays, and if you’re going to be working, you have about 30 minutes left,” before asking me to leave- even though there were plenty of empty seats available. I’ve never encountered such treatment as a paying customer. Unfortunately, Yonge & Eligible has lost a loyal customer and my partner will not be going back for his haircuts either.

I was truly impressed by the coffee and the orange cake. I had just returned from a long day, and the warm and friendly way the lady welcomed me genuinely lifted my spirits. At one point, I accidentally spilled my coffee, and she kindly offered to replace it — though I didn’t accept, as it really wasn’t necessary. Her kindness and hospitality have definitely placed this spot on my list of favorite places to visit. Thank you so much!

Pretty rude cafe owner (older British man) came in to use the wifi and made a purchase. No one was there except him and I so I took a meeting on low volume (left my headset at home) he came and yelled at me and told me that everyone here is annoyed by the noise. Never coming back ....

Had a nice latte from here. I find it a bit off to have a hair salon in the same room, feels a little unsanitary. Nice selection of pastries and chose a danish that tasted very fresh. Wasn’t busy and had a nice seating area outside.

In these hard time, it’s so nice to see my Barista with a happy smiling face and serving the most consistent of cappuccinos. A real pleasure to come in every day and get my coffee.

Yonge + Eligible is a really great little spot in the Yonge & Eglinton area. I started coming here because I wanted to explore more coffee shops during the pandemic and I was not disappointed! The owner of the café really prides himself on high quality, from the oat milk to the types of pastries, and it's the only place I trust with my matcha latte addiction. I have a matcha latte with oat milk and a shot of vanilla (Try it if you love matcha! Seriously) and it's always ready for me when I get there. The service and food are consistently great and the place is nice and clean! Give them a try! Also please don't judge how dirty my mittens are in this photo lol I washed them after this I promise :)

Hello Reem, Nobody yelled at you, you were simply asked to turn the volume down.

Hello Rachel, I’m glad you liked the pastries. Mixed use businesses, such as ours are, are increasing in popularity. The barber shop is somewhat separated from the cafe, however, the main idea is to create a different ambience, hopefully we can achieve that!
