When you dream about having a custom cake for your wedding, it's hard to imagine just what you'll get and if your vision will actually come through. My wife and I knew we wanted to have a cake that would stand out yet remain classic and confident in a room of well dressed folks. Toronto is a city of incredibly talented pastry artists, so to narrow it down was no small task. Through much research and diligence, Reverie Deli was shining bright as who we should pick. The customization possibilities were next level and the images of past work were showing fantastically elegant piping techniques. Michelle was incredible with their correspondence. With so many details to go over, things could've gotten messy, forgotten, rushed, or glazed over, but not with Reverie Deli. We felt confident and reassured that Michelle could see our vision, and would execute a beautiful cake for us. The cake itself was texturally wonderful, the pastry cream luscious yet not too rich. Our plum jam sparkled on the inside, and the buttercream was velvet and luxurious. The shape and height were spot on and the piping was so classic and elevated. Supporting a local, independent baker, that can makes such marvels of the imagination into real life, just feels so amazing. We're so happy we chose Michelle and that Reverie Deli will have a special place in our hearts and memories.
Aptly named, our wedding cake from Reverie Deli was an absolute dream come true! Incredibly creative flavours all beautifully balanced; Michelle’s work is nothing short of magic!
Not only have I never tasted such a delicious cake in my life, but the artistic intent and care behind each creation is absolutely next level. I don't know of any other bakers that put as much thought, effort, care, and quality into their work as Michelle does at Reverie - simply the best!!!!!!!

Michelle created the most gorgeous and autumnal cake for my partner Lindsay’s birthday last week, based on the colour scheme Lindsay had picked for decorations and some flavour preferences I shared with Michelle. The result blew us all away. Everyone remarked on how delicious the cake was and how it wasn’t overly sweet like a typical birthday cake. The time and care put into each detail (peach lime honey syrup?) was remarkable. Michelle went over and above - not only in terms of the design and flavour of the cake, but also in her professional and timely communication and the lovely photos she took of the cake (which was especially helpful because we didn’t take enough photos before cutting into the cake during the party). We will definitely commission another cake from Reverie Deli for a special occasion in the future.
