I really enjoyed learning Bacahata here. The teachers are really fun and kind and they take their time to make sure you get the best of the learning experience
Scheduled a lesson as an anniversary present for my wife 3 weeks in advance. Messaged to say we were looking forward to the lesson 2 hours before and were told he couldn't do the scheduled time. Excuse 1: He didn't think I was coming because he claimed I cancelled on him prior. Except I've never scheduled anything with him before, so maybe he mixed me up with someone else. The only communications I have with him are on March 24th and April 12th. Excuse 2: I hadn't paid to confirm the class. Except he said "You can decide after the class if you want book one only or a package, so you can continue learning," clearly implying payment would be after the class. Never mentioned anything about payment before or after telling me he put it in his calendar. It'd be one thing to just admit he made a scheduling error. Mistakes happen. Sucks that it impacted our anniversary but that's life. Inventing excuses is another. Claiming he didn't know if I'd be coming when he could have texted me? Come on. Own your mistakes rather than blaming other and making excuses.
Classes with Egis and Vanessa are fantastic. It's a nice mix of modern and sensual Bachata and they teach fundamentals well. Egis is a great role model for leaders and Vanessa is super supportive. They also make unique song choices for their classes and demos compared to other Toronto schools. Lastly, their video projects are challenging but the payoff is worth it with all the attention and time they give you.
High recommend THE ONLY dance studio that is truly teaching sensual bachata and the proper technique that originated from Spain. I don’t have to travel to Europe to learn this because Egis has been teaching in Europe and international instructor. It’s time that Toronto has an European level instructor!
I've been renting this studio for over a month now and I’m loving it so much! The owners are such nice and friendly people, you can tell that they care about the quality and communication (you can book it easily when you need it). Plus, all equipment (speakers, lighting) are brand new and I just love creating & dancing in this space that feels fresh and beautiful ! U can also take classes there - don't miss out on the opportunity! 5 stars
Egis and Vanessa are absolutely incredible dance teachers. So if you are looking to start or level up your bachata skills . This is the right place to be. They are a lot of fun, but at the same time very attentive and technical . One of the top sensual bachata dancers in Canada. So definitely recommend.
