I wish that there were more clinic days to book Dr. Poulos, not just Mondays! I always feel more confident after she explains the different types of spots that I have. She is fast, efficient and friendly. She makes each procedure as pain free as possible.

I don't write reviews often, and I thought a lot about this one and whether I should write it or not, but it's been months and I feel that it's only fair to tell the truth so people don't waste their time coming to this clinic. I asked my family doctor to refer me to Dr. Elena Poulos back in October 2021 and when they called Kingsway Dermatology they were advised that new patients will only be taken in the New Year. When my family doctor called back in the New Year, Kingsway Dermatology booked me for April 25th, which was almost 4 months away (ridiculous). I waited and was really excited because Dr. Poulos had great reviews, but checking now those reviews are from years ago. Maybe she is going through something, I don't know, but believe me she is not great anymore. Anyways, I waited MONTHS for this appointment and here is what happened: She was late, she spent MAX 7 minutes on my appointment and told me "We can only address one concern today", and when I told her that I have waited months to see her all she said was "Well, that's just how it works". Well Dr. Poulos, how inconsiderate of you :) I had 3 main issues: darkening skin on my neck, acne, and severely itchy and inflamed skin on my forehead and hair line. Since she told me I can only address one issue, I decided to address the last-listed concern since it was the most urgent and almost unbearable with the itching and stinging. She seemed annoyed, in a rush, and clearly did not care about my skin problems because: 1. She was very unfocused when explaining how I should proceed with my skincare routine (e.g. saying "You need to use the cleanser once a day at night and morning - oh I meant twice a day, and the lotion once a day before morning - sorry, I meant before nighttime, etc., not thinking about what she was saying at all...) and 2. She prescribed me Finacea which is a topical cream that has side effects of burning, stinging, tingling, itchy, irritated, dry or scaly and red skin, and I could not believe it because I came to her WITH THOSE SYMPTOMS. Why on earth would she prescribe me a topical cream that can cause those side effects when I came to her to alleviate those listed symptoms??? When I applied it that night to my skin it was BURNING and I ran to wash it off. It was my mistake trusting her and not researching the cream before applying it, but I was so desperate... Anyways, this clinic is NOT worth it but if you do decide to go, try a different doctor. I was trying so hard to be empathetic and understand that she is also a human like me and maybe she was having a bad day or it was a stressful period in her life, but every time I remember I just get angry knowing that I wasted my time with her. If I could rate this clinic 0 stars, I would. Please do your research before ANYTHING! Research your doctor, read their biography, research what they prescribed, research EVERYTHING and don't blindly trust anyone. I hope this helped/saved you time.
I had such a great experience with Dr. Elena Poulos, she was professional and very kind. She really took the time to listen to the issues that I’ve been having with my skin and also gave me some good tips and products that I can use. You can definitely tell she’s very experienced and patient, you won’t regret scheduling an appointment with Dr. Poulos
Dr. Poulos is lovely! She is warm, professional, knowledgable, and never appears to be rushed. Her office staff is efficient and welcoming, too. I would not hesitate recommending Dr. Poulos. After my Mom received excellent care from her, I made sure I got a referral to her, too. No regrets.
Somehow i accidentally Deleted my last 5* review. So here i go again along with the end of treatment update. Elena is absolutely amazing. she made me feel comfortable right from the first time i stepped into her office. I knew my skin was in good hands. She took her time getting to know my concerns and never rushed me out her door, unlike every other derm I've been to throughout my life. She makes sure your satisfied by any means. My problematic skin for the past 15 years is finally clear. BY GOSH IT FEELS GOOD NOT TO WEAR MAKEUP ANYMORE! :D I Absolutely recommend Paying her a visit. you'll regret it if you don't.
