I normally never leave long reviews, but my experience at CES Toronto (IELTS Test Centre) was so disappointing and distressing that I feel obligated to warn future test-takers. I have taken the IELTS multiple times before — in India and Canada — and I have always known IDP to be organized, respectful, and professional. This was the worst test centre experience I have ever had, from start to finish. 1. Extremely Poor Test Conditions The test environment was not suitable for an international exam. The room was small, cramped, and noisy. A candidate next to me was coughing nonstop throughout the exam, especially during the Listening section. I politely raised my hand and requested a seat change, but the invigilator told me she “cannot accommodate” me. This drastically affected my performance, especially since Listening is normally one of my strongest components. 2. Staff Behaviour Was Shockingly Unprofessional A staff member named Sophia at the front desk was consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. At one point, I even received a call from a No Caller ID number, and the person on the line (who I later learned was there staff member and i have a proof ) spoke unclearly and unprofessionally about my Speaking test time. This caused unnecessary confusion and anxiety right before an important part of the exam. When I approached her during the Writing section requesting a simple pen replacement because the one provided wasn’t working properly, she responded rudely and refused to assist. Her tone was completely inappropriate for a testing environment. 3. Complaint Was Ignored and Dismissed I emailed the centre right after the exam about the disturbances, the staff conduct, and the inappropriate no-caller-ID phone call. Their reply dismissed everything and did not address half of what I wrote. There was no responsibility, no acknowledgement, and no willingness to improve. 4. Intimidation Instead of Support After raising my concerns, the test centre began sending threatening emails, warning me that my results would be cancelled and that I would be banned from taking IELTS in the future. Instead of resolving issues professionally, they handled everything with pressure and intimidation. No empathy, no understanding — just demands for money and threats. 5. Being Sent From One Place to Another When I contacted IDP Canada, they told me they can’t help and asked me to contact the test centre. IDP Australia told me the same — that they cannot assist with Canada. Meanwhile, the test centre continued to send aggressive emails with no intention of helping. 6. Completely Unprofessional and Not Worth the Stress I have taken IELTS before and never expected this level of unprofessionalism. This centre lacks basic manners, structure, communication, and ethics. Candidates spend a lot of money and trust these centres with their academic or immigration future — the least we deserve is respect and proper conduct. This test centre seriously needs oversight, retraining, and accountability. I would strongly advise anyone taking IELTS in Toronto to avoid this centre if possible. No candidate should experience unnecessary stress, disrespect, and intimidation, especially during such an important exam.

Hello, I have been contacting idp email lately and have recieved no response . I need their assistance as I am in a awful situation regarding my identity document. Please Please Please help me to get through this. Regards.

I have passed test for half a month, and I contacted the test centre to help me send my result to u of t. No matter email or call, they don’t give me any answer. That’s the terrible centre I have ever met. By now, they don’t reply, and I would be influenced by their irresponsible actions.
