Poor experience overall. Staff were dismissive, the environment was uncomfortable, and the facilities (like the escalators) weren’t even working. Wouldn’t recommend.
I did not enjoy my experience at Fabricland. On the positive side, I did interact with one worker there who was very kind and patient. However, here is why I was mostly unsatisfied: it took a really long time to get a person to talk to, I am not a regular in fabric stores and I needed a bit of help finding and choosing fabrics, and it was difficult to get ahold of someone to help me. Secondly, the fabrics were insanely expensive. Making a quilt for a twin size bed would have be SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS without a sale, and the pricing was completely unclear and I wasn't aware of this until checkout. The person helping me, although really kind and sweet, was completely unaware of how much fabric I needed. This is also just an outrageous price for fabric in my opinion. Finally, the person who was helping me pick fabrics (who knew I did not have a membership card and wasn't planning on getting one) told me all the fabrics I had chosen were 50% off. When I got to the checkout counter, I found out this was not the case and the woman checking me out was just incredibly rude about it. I was told the fabric I was going to buy by the person helping me chose it would come to $60 (because I was not about to spend 600 dollars on fabric which is frankly ludicrous) and in fact it was over $80, and too late to change my mind. I spent over two hours there, and I wasn't really happy with my purchases at all, and felt very duped over pricing. Again, I worked with one really nice woman there, but overall was not happy with my experience and definitely would not return.
Get yuh shopping done! Fabrics galore!!! Please choose wisely. Most fabrics are polyester blends . Know your fabrics and and measurements! They sell in metres. They always say a cat has 7 lives, fabrics has many lives!
