I won't waste my money here again. Overpriced. They don't have prices written out most. The Spanakopita was almost 10$ and lacks in taste. The ingredients are cheap.. the pastry tastes like cheap oil. It is not run by Greek ppl and I don't think it is owned by them either. This is very reflective on the taste. The girl said it was warmed up. It was barely warm with the filling entirely cold. Over 17$ for a slice of the pie and some dolmades. Don't waste your money here.
I was looking forward to trying the chicken wrap for a while since a couple of years ago I visited Koukla bar and Mamakas. What a disappointment. The service was not the best - cashier was not having a good day, asked me questions on packing my order and did it the wrong way anyways. $18 for a wrap of this side with lack of sauce should not be a standard. I understand they are pretty slammed with to-go orders but now I don’t understand why this spot is popular.
The food here used to be amazing and we regularly ordered takeout here. However, over the last few months it seems that their recipes have changed for the worse. One of their all-time best items was the melitzanosalate, a smooth smokey sweet eggplant dip; it’s now some weird chunky unsmoked vinegar-ey dip with full pieces of nuts in it. Their red pepper dip is now made with ricotta (instead of feta) and way spicier. The dips used to be what made this place unique so it’s sad to see them change. Also oddly, when we ordered takeout they no longer had potatoes or their platters - just wraps and salads. How can a Greek restaurant run out of potatoes… However, to their credit, their pita and meats are still some of the best in town. The lamb/beef kebabs and chicken are always juicy, flavoured, and consistent. The pita is soft and fluffy.

Here is a bit pricy but the chicken gyro and spanakopita are top notch. Really juicy and flavourful chicken and pita, and spanakopita is super crispy and creamy on the inside. You can tell they use top quality ingredients. Also good portions!
I hate to leave a low review especially when it’s related to price, I ordered a spanakopita triangle and it was $7.25 on Uber Eats. See photo below, that’s straight highway robbery. The picture they used on Uber Eats made it seem it was way bigger, outrageous for something bite sized (and wasn’t even good..). Chicken was decent
Drop by for a quick lunch today. I had directed some friends to a place called Tzatziki, and they suggested Agora. In a word, SPECTACULAR. Here's why. When you order a souvlaki wrap, it’s prepared exactly the way it is served either in Athens or on the Greek islands. Succulent pieces of juicy meat, in this case, chicken, a very light, extremely flavourful sauce which is a combination of olive oil, lemon juice, and some herbs. And you can tell that they are using quality olive oil and quality herbs. It’s noticeable and outstanding. And if that were not enough, they jamb some perfectly cooked fries into the pita blanket of heavenly goodness, and voila. The perfect hand sandwich. I chose to skip the Tzatziki dressing because I’m more of a purist however, I suspect that too is top-notch. For $15.00 this may be the best sandwich in the city. And why does the tiny place produce such a great product? They are part of the Mamakas group of restaurants and if you’ve ever dined there before, you know that they are the masters of taking simple and making it extraordinary. It’s no fluke that this place has great food. I will return many times. The pastries looked fantastic, and they offer some other classic staples in Greek cuisine like Mousaka, Soutsoukakia (Greek meatballs packed with flavour), lemon roasted potatoes and more. Here's a tip if you plan on visiting and ordering takeout, know this. The sandwich will not travel well in a box. I found this out the hard way. Do yourself a favour. Grab a cold drink, your sandwich, and your dog, and your best friend, and walk 30 feet across the street to Trinity Bellwoods Park. Have a seat on the grass and enjoy! Trust me. You will not be disappointed.
