Unprofessional and disappointing — I regret booking - paid in full, never got service I paid in full and trusted Niya with my hair (starterlocs), but communication stopped shortly after payment. There’s no business phone number, and she only contacts clients from a blocked number, making scheduling nearly impossible. She was also late to my first appointment, despite knowing I was travelling from Ajax. She made promises in her first response about accommodating my schedule and adding an extra appointment, but never followed through. After that, she completely stopped responding. I consulted three other professional locticians, all of whom confirmed the work had been done incorrectly, and I had to pay again to fix it. This experience was stressful, costly, and unprofessional. I’m sharing this so others don’t make the same mistake.
I gave her my dread wig to fix and she ghosted me. She either lost or damaged it. I went to small claims court yesterday to start the process of recuperating my loss. Extremely unprofessional lady.
Amazing Experience. My hair was exceptionally treated and taken care off. Also learned a lot, both about hair and life in general. And if you have a taste for music, you will be blessed with an angelic voice while getting your hair treated. I’d give more stars if I could ????
I’ve contacted this woman many times after paying a deposit to book a hair appointment. She never showed up and never reached back to me. This is very unprofessional I haven’t received my deposit back. She took my deposit. I don’t know how she does business but this is my experience that I’m sharing. It’s unacceptable. she also sent me an email saying Thank you for your visit when she never showed up. I think this is very disrespectful and demeaning after paying a deposit.
Absolutely incredible experience! Niya is a woman of care and precision with a little bit of magic on top! She took such amazing care of me, I truly thought I was going to have to take out my locs and start over, but she thoroughly detoxed, repaired and breathed life back into my hair. You need to try the Steam+Wash package, its better than a day at the spa! Such a fun and relaxing appointment, Niya is very sweet, warm and hilarious, I was cracking up the entire time. Niya offers fair prices, several different services and is a well of knowledge - a true teacher at heart. Truly grateful for her and I cant wait until my next appointment! 10 out of 10 all around, 5 platinum stars hands down!
As someone who was super anxious about taking such a huge step, I feel so lucky that Niya and I crossed paths. Niya is professional yet laid back and had all the patience and information I needed. The atmosphere and her easygoing energy really helped settle my nerves and made the whole experience enjoyable. I'm loving the finished result and I'm looking forward to paying her another visit.
I had my first official appointment yesterday. Ms Naya gave me a informative breakdown of what she can offer for me and what I was looking for. She is certainly a professional and results are in real time. Looking forward to my next visit.
