Andrea has been doing my hair for over 5 years. . She is always professional and always finds the time to fit me into her schedule. She has not only kept my hair beautiful but long and healthy - even after years of bleaching my hair. Always goes out of her way to make sure her clients are comfortable and extremely accommodating to everyone’s needs. Highly recommend - always a fun experience !
I’m not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but this was genuinely an awful experience– if I could give 0 stars I would. I booked an extension removal appointment with STRND while visiting Toronto. I needed it urgently because I had a colour appointment coming up, and the extensions needed to be removed beforehand. I reached out to several salons, and STRND was the first to respond— they booked me in right away, and their quick communication over text initially left me pleasantly surprised. The day before my appointment, they asked to move the time earlier, which I agreed to no problem. But when I arrived the next day, the salon was completely closed. No one answered the buzzer, my calls, or my texts. I even waited an additional hour and a half—until the time of my original appointment—thinking maybe there was a mix-up. I messaged them letting them know that if they weren’t going to show, to please tell me so I wasn’t waiting around. Still nothing. The only reason I got a response at all was because I called the next day from a blocked number. When I asked why my appointment was missed and why no one had replied to any of my messages for over 24 hours, I was met with excuses that were clearly not true. They claimed someone “came out looking for me,” even though I was standing outside the entire time. When I asked why there had been no follow-up, they stumbled and said they had “just noticed,” despite it being a full day later. Missing an appointment is one thing. Lying about it, failing to follow up, and ghosting your clients is something else entirely. Zero accountability or remorse, it’s incredibly unprofessional. I lost two hours waiting for a salon that never showed up while visiting from out of town, and I ended up having to pay a cancellation fee at another salon because I couldn’t get my extensions removed in time. I would not recommend or trust this salon, completely unprofessional.
Andrea’s amazing with extensions! She fit me in last minute for Bellami beaded wefts, worked super fast, and nailed it. The studio has a great vibe too. She also does color, which is rare to find someone great at both. Highly recommend!
Andrea at Strnd Studio is truly one of the best in Toronto. Her blowouts are flawless and last for days, and her hair botox treatment made my hair so silky and healthy. She does such a fabulous job with extensions – I always see her clients and can never even tell it’s extensions because they look so natural. Her salon is super stylish but also welcoming, and Andrea herself is so warm and genuine. I always leave feeling amazing. Highly recommend! ?

She recognized right away that it wasn’t the right environment for that energy and made a thoughtful decision in the moment that prioritized her clients and her business. It was a powerful reminder of what true professionalism and leadership look like—the kind you only find in someone who really takes pride in their craft and space.
