Prepared food is usually dry, stale and unflavoured. Service generally is very good. My 'big complaint is that 1 staff member (I've heard and personally experienced) 'verbally abuses customers'. She yells and name calls for 'no rational reason' that I can see. I've been frequenting this store from it's beginning and luckily never before came face to face with this dysregulated staff! The original Danforth BC has "always" over the many years of my marketing, been wonderful with service, delicious fresh prepared meals and pretty good pricing. Incredible that 1 'unhinged' staff could spoil so much goodness for me.
Had a wonderful experience shopping here while visiting friends and my daughter in the city. The selection of hot food is fantastic and I had a lovely conversation with the cashier named Melanie or Melody on my way out.
You ever have an apple pie that tastes like beef bourguignon? If you’re curious that’s what Big Carrot sells! Makes me truly question what’s going on in that kitchen. For the record, will never try their pies again.
One of my favorite grocery stores in this area. During the daytime they have lots of daily options. Plenty of health foods and supplements along with lots of vegan options and great bread.
Thank you for keeping the public safe with your mask policy it is such a shame a wonderful business like yours gets their reviews trashed for following Covid-19 protocol When the government of Canada says you must wear a mask indoors i think its a safe bet to say that is the law Having a website and offering curbside pickup is a very fair compromise even though you are not required to do so Being a private business you have the right to refuse service to anyone who is not wearing a mask It takes guts to do that and i applaud you for doing so because you will be harassed by a small handful of these self entitled people who leave these 1 star reviews They are ignorant of the science and may need a ventilator in the near future
The flyer delivered to my home last evening did not disappoint! Walked over to The Big Carrot to check out the sale items and reacquainted myself with the impressive quality and variety of items available to upgrade almost every part of daily living..I bought the very nutritious Rawcology Lemon Ginger Granola (on sale) and splurged on the Purica Mushroom Cacao Mix...both delicious and healthy too!
Nice and clean. Produce was pretty good and selection was decent. Staff were friendly and at tentative. However, the prices are pretty high and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone on a budget, unless your budget is $15-20 for a smoothie...
