I bought a diamond to replace my diamond that had shattered on my engagement ring from this jeweller in December 2021 for $3000. This was for the diamond as they were using the platinum setting from my original ring. I was referred by my insurance company. In May of this year I asked if I could trade in my piece of jewelry for a store credit to buy another piece. I was told that they would give me $500 for my ring including the diamond and my platinum setting. I took this ring to another jeweller who quoted the same price ($500) and said I overpaid for this diamond. Update after your reply: As you know I was not satisfied with our email conversation. For you to reply as you did to my rating further attests to your dishonesty. You had inflated the cost of the diamond as was reflected in the discrepancy between the documentation you gave me at the time of purchase versus the actual cost of the diamond. In fact you appraised the value of my ring at 4,600 after you replaced the diamond. When you quoted the price of 3000 you stated it was the cost of the diamond you did not mention shipping costs, a repair cost or provide me with an itemized receipt. In fact when I asked about the cost of the repair you stated it was “no additional charge”. I understand that your company needs to make a profit. My problem is how much and your lack of transparency. I provided you with a platinum setting. You added a diamond for $3000. Now yourself and another jeweller value the ring which is your diamond and my platinum setting at $500. Which is not consistent with the documentation you provided when I purchased the ring. I forwarded you the email with this information.
I’ve known Karrie and Justin for several years in dealing with them on the insurance side. I knew they were great to deal with when it came to my clients. But when it came time to buy an engagement ring for my fiancé, I went to Hennick and Co. It was the best decision that I made. I proposed to my fiancé at Christmas and she absolutely loves her engagement ring! I must add that I was very particular because I wanted the ring to be perfect. Hennick did a great job in managing my expectations and were great in making recommendations. Hennick and Co did an amazing job in crafting this engagement ring! I shopped several other jewellers but I must say that Hennick out of all the jewellers was the most honest/fourth coming. They showed me what was possible within my budget. In fact they were able to source out a bigger stone and were the best price when compared to other jewellers. I’d recommend to not look any further and just go to Hennick for any custom jewellery!
I woke up with my wedding ring stuck on my finger and couldn’t get it off despite trying for hours. I called Hennick & Co and they told me to come right in, where they were *so nice* to me that I felt better despite feeling emotional about needing it to be cut off! They were able to remove the ring and saved me from being stuck in it through the winter storm and the holidays. I’ll definitely be coming back to shop and repair or replace the ring soon!!
