Gillian at Jewel Envy repaired and increased the size of my diamond anniversary ring and wedding band. I felt very comfortable and confident in the process. She was able to take the diamonds and gold from an old earring, without a mate, to use in the wedding band to increase the size. I am thrilled with the results. She also refashioned a necklace and repaired the clasp on another necklace. If you are looking for a trustworthy jeweller who does beautiful work, Gillian at Jewel Envy is the place to go. We found Gillian when looking to get a custom engagement ring made and had a wonderful experience, so we came back to get our wedding bands custom made as well. Gillian is so sweet and so knowledgeable about her craft. There was never any pressure to buy or upgrade, and she was very helpful with finding and showing different gems for my engagement ring. For our wedding bands we came with inspiration pictures that she worked with, and she was able to take old gold rings from my husband's family and work her magic to get the nice bright yellow he was looking for. She also incorporated a family ruby into the inside of his ring as he requested. We absolutely loved working with Gillian!
Gillian patiently, kindly, and professionally went through all of my late mother's jewelry with me and my daughter, helping us assess what was there. Then, she designed the most spectacular pair of earrings and a pendant using much of the gold and many of the precious gems - pieces I will wear and treasure for my lifetime. She made this process easy and enjoyable, and I feel so good about turning what would have been "junk" to me that I never would have worn into a couple of beautiful pieces that I will wear all the time. I trust Gillian and found the whole process to be, quite frankly, delightful.

I took an introductory course and was surprised at how much there is to learn about making jewelry by hand. Gillian (owner and goldsmith/jeweller extraordinaire!) made my fiancé and me custom wedding bands. She worked hard with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and stayed on budget. She is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, wise, makes excellent suggestions and works very quickly. She made every step super easy, breezy and stress-free. This review is long, long, long overdue! My friend lost an earring that was part of a set of jewelry her husband (who had recently passed) had given her many years ago. I brought the remaining earring to Gillian, who figuratively moved heaven and earth to find the materials to replicate it. The result was simply stunning. Gillian even included some leftover materials - just in case! This is a master craftswoman! Thank you Gillian!
This is a lovely studio and shop. Beautiful jewelry by a range of artists in front, plus a well-stocked workspace in back. Their classes offer depth and breadth for anyone wanting to learn metalwork, from basic fabrication to casting and more. Peter in particular is a wonderful and patient teacher. Highly recommended.
