I'm new to Skyjems and I've met with the owner, David Saad only a handful of times. The family that runs the business are the nicest people. You can look it up for yourself if you want, but David (Saad) is one of the most knowledgeable in the world when it comes to precious stones. Usually in the world is just an overused saying, in a few cases it isn't. This is one of those few cases. You know that saying that goes along the lines of: "Do you what you love, and you'll be wildly successful?" - Mr. Saad is one of those people! He breaks things down for you without complex jargon because he wants to you to understand what he's saying in detail. He's a businessman but Mr. Saad is clearly a good person with a lot of integrity. He loves the trade and precious stones in general so much so that he'll spend time with you. He'll teach you about things about stones and the trade. He's a man you don't see every day, and I'm going to continue doing business with him for as long as I can afford to. If you don't, the saying 'your loss' will be an understatement!
As someone who runs a business myself: you can tell the person from whom you're purchasing is in it to generate happiness regardless of resultant income in many ways, but there's one tell-tale sign, I think, especially: that they engage those who do not as yet make a purchase just as thoughtfully, empoweringly, and genuinely helpfully. My mom, cousin, and I visited you and your quietly dazzling, meticulously-selected stones several years ago, and my memory's never been inclined to remember images, but the royal blue sapphire I saw remains the only one I aspire to one day purchasing: if not for myself, potentially, then for someone I love. And knowing I had--rather naïvely--been "looking to" buy, knowing next to nothing, for far, far less than your already incredibly reasonable price on the gem in question, you didn't bat an eye, proceeding to teach us about differentiating heat-treated specimens, introducing us to several breathtaking solitaires, and never once demonstrating an ounce of disappointment at my noting I'd likely be back later if ever. You embody what it means to serve entrepreneurially and artistically, and I can't wait to one day snag a sapphire whose equivalent I hadn't seen before and haven't seen since, or to forward anyone and everyone committed to buying to you! Standing ovation! Thank you _so_ much for your expertise and care; I'm sincerely sorry that you haven't a five-star rating, but no one reading should take the very few unsubstantiated comments stealing that last star from Skyjems seriously. (And no: we don't know each other, and no one paid me to say this, aside from indulging me in using time that could've been spent closing a paying customer!) I don't often say this, but: don't miss out on these guys!
Amazing ring. Very knowledgeable. Quick responses though out the whole process of this custom piece. Had to get the ring repaired & resized as well within a month of purchase. I was disappointed on the large gold necklace. I just purchased. It is extremely difficult to open and close. I would like to return it for different one..easy to close & open.
