Awful experience with Donovan Kochman LLP. The quality of work did not come close to justifying the excessive fees charged. Communication was weak, execution was sloppy, and the overall handling of the matter lacked both urgency and professionalism. It felt like their priority was billing as much as possible, rather than providing value. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Very bad set of lawyers, all they care about is their retainers. After years and $18k legal fees, they asked me to find another legal representative. In case they reply to my review and say I am not a client or a former client, I am unfortunately a former client with court case and file numbers. The bottom line is I would saty away from these guys.

Beware. Do not hire Brendan Donovan. He is an unethical lawyer who does not follow the law and is a scam artist. Some of his clients have reported him to Upper Canada Law Society. He takes people's money only to achieve no results. He doesn't respond to emails and ignores phone calls. If you want results there are many other top estate lawyers in Toronto to choose from. I have seen him in court and the judge wasn't to happy with him and that probably explains why he sends his associates to do his dirty work. He keeps taking money from his clients and doesn't like to settle cases. I hope anyone who deals with him files a complaint to upper Canada law society and informs the judge so eventually he will lose his license.
