Another local gem on the east side of Toronto (Leslieville). Authentic Jamaican VEGAN brunch and mains. Starter salad, although simple - was crisp and refreshing. We had the brunch, avocado toast and the akhee ! My god … flavour explosions. The key is how fresh the ingredients are. The avocado or as we call it in Trinidad ZABOCA, tasted like avocado. Crisp, sweet, buttery. We’re coming back for the lunch.
Food is phenomenal. It’s prepared like eating at the home of a friend who is a chef. Very well balanced and wonderful warmth/vibes here too. Don’t sleep on this place.
Walked into Allwood looking for a coffee and smoothie, but ended up getting a meal because their menu looked so good! Plus the owner was so friendly and a customer that had just finished his meal said his dish was really good, so we had to get something! The food is "Jamaican inspired" and was so delicious!! My partner and I split the chickpea curry and jerk lentils and we were given a sample of the akkee tofu on the house. All three dishes were perfect. We also had the bulletproof coffee and an oat latte, with some gingerbread cookie pieces given to us too. The atmosphere and attention to detail to make us have an amazing experience was exceptional. Clearly the owner loves to see people happy and we were! We will definitely be back and telling our friends to go too!
Highest quality and care is taken in each and every product design. Not to mention supporting local high end brands. You can only benefit from the wonderful energy within KASPACE. This should be on everyone's tourist map. A little high end New York in Toronto!
