5. Came at 8:30 on Tuesday morning, super professional, no wait at all. I had Marcel and she was very kind and gentle- really a very positive experience.
I’ve been here twice for blood work and both times have been speedy and friendly. Results were within 24 hours. The only thing to note is that sometimes they don’t open right at 8 even though that is their posted hours. I wouldn’t bother showing up before 8:30 in case they are running behind.
Best experience I’ve had at a lab! I booked an appoinment online the night before but it really wasn’t necessary — I went at 8am and was the first one there so they were able to take me right away. I let them know that I’ve fainted before from getting blood taken and they were very accomodating and made sure I was taken care of. Thank you to the two ladies there!
I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with this lab. I strongly advise avoiding this place if possible, as I have found them to be unreliable and untrustworthy. I received inconsistent information regarding whether my bio-available testosterone test would be covered. The technician initially told me that it should be covered if ordered by an endocrinologist. However, she then directed me to another staff member over the phone who was extremely rude and outright stated that the test would not be covered, regardless of whether it was ordered by a specialist for a documented medical condition (Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome, diagnosed in BC). This inconsistency raised immediate concerns for me. It felt as though they were manipulating the situation to make my test results appear falsely normal, ultimately undermining my diagnosis and treatment. I have zero tolerance for misleading information and unprofessionalism, especially when it comes to something as critical as my health. Additionally, my initial appointment experience was frustrating. No one showed up at the lab in the morning, forcing me to go to LifeLabs as a walk-in without an appointment. Eventually, the technician called me back after 40 minutes, explaining that road conditions were bad—which I was understanding about at the time. However, after my rude and unprofessional phone experience, I now question the entire process and find it difficult to trust any results from this lab. I have already suffered significantly due to misdiagnosis and unreliable lab results in Ontario, particularly with my testosterone levels. Despite my abnormally low luteinizing hormone, my testosterone results have appeared falsely normal, even though I have never used exogenous steroids. This failure to provide accurate diagnostics has had serious consequences for my health. I condemn the unethical actions of those who manipulate test results and mislead patients. This lack of integrity in the healthcare system is terrifying. Ontario nearly destroyed my health once, and I returned with the hope of giving it a second chance. But my experience with this lab has proven that nothing has changed. I no longer feel safe trusting them with my health and can only hope that one day, those responsible will understand what it’s like to be in my position.
The nurse on the window, Maricel, was super rude and dismissive. Any question I'd ask her she'd get annoyed. She also made me stand for a good 2-3 minutes while she chatted with someone in her native tongue. Also when I brought up some concerns with her, she tried to dismiss me saying her clock is up. Whatever happened to professionalism?
After reading terrible reviews about my local life lab I travelled all the way across town to this facility for tests. I called ahead and the staff said no need for an appointment so I thought I would have to wait long. Not so! I was in and out in 20 mins flat (maybe I got lucky cause nobody else was in the waiting room). Very patient and professional staff. They only stuck me once and boom I was done. Would for sure recommend this location.
Went here for urgent blood work as it was closer than LifeLabs downtown. I thought I was saving time. ONE WEEK later and my doctor still has not received the results.
