It was my first time at this Ali Baba’s location @ Bloor & Islington. Very friendly employees. Asked how was my day, wished me a great weekend Beside providing fresh food which was on the display. It is a middle eastern restaurant but they were playing Latin music which i enjoyed because whole food court was quiet compare to the vibe they had it here. Overall it was nice. I wanted to give a tip but in their debit machine there was no option. Will be back again.
I was just there the front staff was rude she was only speaking to me with attitude after getting my food I opened it to take a bite and it was cold and some parts were frozen. I went back and she said that’s how it was supposed to be. I’ve been to probably thousands of shawarma places I’ve never seen staff or food like that.
A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Toronto! I was visiting Toronto from London and stumbled across this wonderful Middle Eastern place in the food court and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, vibrant flavours in every bite. The portions were incredibly generous (definitely come hungry!), and the prices were surprisingly low for such quality and quantity. What really stood out was the variety on the menu — from tender grilled meats to fragrant rice dishes, creamy hummus, and freshly baked bread, there was something for everyone. The value meals are unbeatable, giving you a full, satisfying feast without breaking the bank. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff particularly boss Kulsum Onu and Najeed were great! It’s rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes — great taste, great portions, great prices, and great service — but this place nails it. Highly recommended for anyone in Toronto looking for authentic, flavour-packed convenient Middle Eastern food at fantastic value. I’ll be dreaming of their dishes long after I’m back in London!
Worst customer service. The girl is soo rude making weird faces and treating us as if we didn't pay. She was literally throwing hummus and veggies on the wrap out of anger for no reason.
Wanted to support local and try something new so visited after the lunch rush. Service was GREAT - my server was friendly, informative, polite, prompt - the person you WANT on the front line serving. However, I refrain from reviewing the quality let alone (chintzy) QUANTITY of food for the price charged (as I ended up going to the Sobeys Express locally and buying ingredients to make the EXACT same dish for LESS expense PER SERVING INCLUDING MY LABOUR to obtain the quantity I required).
Food is so good and feels so authentic and fresh. There’s something for everyone including vegan and vegetarian. Would definitely recommend and come again the service was great and quick
Terrible shawarma. They charge more than other places and it’s like I’m eating a veggie wrap…barely any meat. Feel ripped off. Definitely won’t come back. Still hungry
