Very charming movers who worked very quickly. You would not have guessed that they were charging by the hour. I was a little concerned with a few pieces of furniture that they were being careless, but the results speak for themselves. No damage, billing exactly as advertised, fast and friendly movers. First time hiring movers for a move and they came through for us despite us requesting a reschedule at the final hour. Very positive experience.
It's been a couple of weeks since James, Mark and Brian did a terrific job moving us on one of the most hot and humid days of the year. I'm just getting around to reviewing their stellar work now and can't say enough good things about them. They were professional, courteous and careful. Our apartment was on a third floor walk-up and the steamy stairwell was not air conditioned -- but you heard no complaints from El Cheapo's hard working team. They wrapped every sofa, easy-chair, dresser, etc. in plastic to ensure that nothing would move out of place. Not one item suffered any damage. As a family, we worked hard, in the weeks prior to the move, to pack and move as many boxes and smaller items in our SUV before the movers came, leaving them only the big items to handle. This proved to be a very efficient and cost-effective way to manage a move and we came in well under the quoted price and there was no protest from the movers -- they charged the hours it took, as quoted. Of course, under these circumstances, I would hope that any satisfied client should be prepared to give the movers a substantial tip (and we tried to set a good example in this regard). Based on the work of James, Mark and Brian, I want to give the strongest of positive recommendations to El Cheapo. They work hard and play fair -- you can't ask for more than that!
We have used movers 4 or 5 times over the last few years and el cheapo was the best service we have had. The crew was very professional and FAST. Lot of stairs and it did not slow these guys down
I had an excellent experience today with El Cheapo. They arrived ahead of time and took only a hour to move my 99 year old Aunt's furniture and belongings from the independent living side of her retirement complex to the assisted living side. The movers were very efficient and careful and personable. I highly recommend El Cheapo.
Worst customer service experience, called the guy, he was pathetic and rude. Won't ever so much as call them again.
