Took my treasured guitar in to have the frets dressed and action lowered and the whole team were nothing short of fantastic. I can't remember the name of the lady who booked me in but she was brilliant, truly listened to what I was trying to achieve and asked me questions about my goal. It felt like we were working together. Then Ryan, who did the work on the guitar, was a gentleman, took the time to give me a call to talk through, in detail, what he did to the guitar. The challenges and how he overcame them, it was a great call and I apologise for taking up about 40 minutes of your time Ryan when you probably only wanted a 5 minute call! There is a bit of a lead time but that shouldn't come as a surprise, I will be coming back in future.
This is not a pro shop don’t let them fool you. I got an ampeg baby bass and the store said it plays and it needs a little work on the neck and when i got it the neck was not good.what a terrible way to waste peoples time! Never will order online again
I purchased an Alhambra 9P CW E8 last fall. Ryan did a great set up for me. Four months later some of the frets were a little edgy. I took the guitar in, had a great chat with him as he looked after the problem and left in an hour. Smooth as as babies bottom.Job done... No charge.. !! You guys are da Best!!!

What a great place! Knowledgeable and helpful staff and wall-to-wall guitars!! They advertise only a few but when you walk in, it is like a guitar heaven. I bought my new Fender American Professional 5 string bass there and it was priced great and it was nice to support a local shop rather than one of the big guys.
I have purchased a number of banjos'over the years, as well as two guitars, from The Twelfth Fret, and I make the drive from Waterloo to do so. I do the 3 hour round trip because I get the best possible service from the most knowledgeable staff I know. Grant, the owner, is a banjo expert, and not only knows the brands he sells, he knows the mechanics of banjos, and what makes them tic. He does an excellent set-up on your banjo to get the best possible sound,whether it's clawhammer bluegrass or tenor.The store carries a huge selection of resonator and open back banjos, along with an excellent selection of guitars. If your doing a trade in, Grant is as fair as he is honest. Grant is also extremely knowledgeable on all brands of guitars. The staff is friendly and helpful,and they never try to up sell you, they just want to be certain they fit you with an instrument that best suits your needs, and they do this very well. If you are a new player, or a seasoned professional, you will not regret checking out this store, and I can assure you, you will go back. Wayne Sullivan
