Rashid ant Mathura are THE BEST , all the staff are so nice, talkative and welcoming. Their are definitely an asset to the spot, they play music for you, make proper accommodations for your stay. I haven’t met such a friendly staff in my travels, they are top notch. Thank you guys for a great stay, I’m definitely come back before I leave
Ordered online, waited over 1 hr. Dodged calls and refused to cancel. Left hungry and tired with food for 4 people after everyone has already left. Avoid if you like to be fed food within same day.
Went here for Game 7 of the world series. Disaster. Ordered nachos, they came with no cheese. They attempted to remedy this with a sprinking of unmelted cheese. The worst part... The village is using a bootleg IP tv service on the back two TVs and a Rogers box on the front one. This made for a spectacular viewing experience where the back 2 TVs were 5 mins behind the front. I would not recommend.
Amazing pizza! The sauce was so light and flavorful and the crust was perfect. And the service was friendly and efficient. Would give it a 10 if I could. Would highly recommend!
Ordered on Uber Eats. I remember this place was Thai once, that was good. But now it’s new village. We did not have the highest expectation, late night Order after midnight, pub, cheaper that other places. We were pleasantly surprised. It tasted much better that we had expected. The chicken sandwich was crispy and moist with good toppings. The mozzarella sticks were good and not too runny and the poppers were well spiced and nice. Not sure what else to say, but thank you and we will come back for sure and dine in.
I had a terrible experience at this place. I went with my colleagues after work, and it was honestly one of the worst spots I’ve been to. The place was dirty, the smell of the food was overwhelming in a bad way, and they said their draft system was “cold” and unavailable—right after work hours in busy downtown Toronto. Even the bottled drinks I ordered weren’t cold, which is honestly shocking for a place in this area. I felt embarrassed for suggesting it to my colleagues. Really disappointing.
Went to the King of Pub (not sure why its also called New Village?) in December with a group of 4. It is a long and narrow spot like a lot of places in the area. We were promptly sat and orders were taken quickly. Food came out fast too. We got calamari and chicken wings for the table to share. Both were excellent. They give you a good portion of calamari for $12. It was a Tuesday so the wings were 50% off. The honey garlic were well sauced. I went with the King Homemade Lamb Burger with fries. It was fantastic, great burger for $15. It is hard to beat the prices, a burger and fries from a takeout place nearby is $18 and up. I would recommend and would return to King of Pub restaurant.
