A Convenient Pit Stop After Axe Throwing After an exhilarating axe throwing date, my boyfriend and I were on the hunt for a quick and affordable meal. Pizza Nova emerged as the most convenient choice, and we decided to try their "The All Star Pizza" in a large size. The pizza was good, no doubt about that. The combination of toppings, including the mild peppers, added a pleasant flavour profile that we both enjoyed. The crust had a nice texture, and it satisfied our post-axe throwing hunger. However, one question lingered in our minds: why is Pizza Nova so expensive for a large pizza? It left us feeling a bit perplexed, especially when we were seeking a budget-friendly meal. While we expected some premium for the convenience factor, the cost still seemed disproportionately high. In summary, Pizza Nova served its purpose as a quick and easy post-axe throwing meal. The All Star Pizza was tasty, with those mild peppers adding a delightful twist. Nevertheless, the overall experience left us with a bit of sticker shock, which affected our rating. I'd give it a 2 out of 5. If you're not on a tight budget, it's a reasonable choice, but if you're looking for a more economical option, you might want to explore other pizza places in the area.
We have been ordering the same pizza on a regular basis for almost 4 years. We were originally very pleased with quality and taste and have continued to order 4-5 times per year. Delivery was quick, staff were friendly. When we last ordered in late June 2023 - our regular order - the pizza arrived so soggy that the bottom of the pizza box was damp. We chalked it up to a one time event. We ordered again last week and this time the order arrived cold and the crust was so hard and cardboard-like that we ate a couple of pieces and threw the rest out. Sorry Pizza Nova you have just lost a customer.
I ordered 2 panzerottis online through uber eats at 12:23 pm on Monday. Then I walked to the place for about 10-12 min. I arrive to Pizza Nova at 12:39 pm. I tell them: "I'm here to pick up an order." The employee looks at me confused. Then he goes to the receipt machine. He picks up the receipt and sees the order. Then he tells me:"oh we will make it right now. Wait for 15 min." Then I sit there patiently trying not to make a scene despite being super hungry. The order is finally done at 12:52 pm and now I have to run back to work because I only have 8 more minutes till my lunch is done. I inhale the food and don't get a chance to enjoy the taste. Don't get me wrong. The panzerotti is very tasty. The two Asian guys super unprofessional. They only started gathering the ingredients and stuff after I came inside the building. The order should have been almost ready by the time I arrived to the place but NO. The idiot in a colored hat didn't have enough brains to check the receipt machine and make sure they are on top of things. Very unprofessional. I DO NOT recommend anybody to order at pizza novas through food apps. You will waste your time and money. If you want pizza- then go inside and watch them like a hawk. Otherwise they won't do their jobs
Pizza Nova used to be one of the better chain pizzas in Toronto but it has gone alarmingly downhill over the years. A recent purchase was an overcooked pizza that frankly smelled off. It seems the bigger these chains get the more they ignore the quality that made them popular in the first place. You're better off with a Dr. Oeckers frozen pizza.
Horrible experience at Pizza nova today at 1130am. Three guys working there as I walked in, 2 older gentleman and a young kid. Customer service from the two older gentleman were amazing and upto pizza nova standards. The young Asian kid needs to be fired immediately. Rude, and does not want to work. Lazy and used racial slurs on me. I don't what led to him treating me like this. But it deters me from ever going back. Please make this right.
It was peak time where all the restaurants were closed. I couldn't find any. We were haaaangry!!! I quickly went over the internet and found this to be open. I quickly called and ordered a pepperoni pizza and a cheese pizza with extra onions. It was hot and yummy Thank you.
Great place. Good quality and affordable pizza, friendly staff, and quick service. The atmosphere is typical fast food. You can sit down to eat if you want but it's nothing special. It is clean and tidy, though.
