The food compared to the restaurant level was very ill. Price compared to taste is opposite. Ambience is good but not worth it going especially. Would not suggest of going there for dinner or lunch. Also made us wait for almost more than hour for food to arrive after ordering.
Worst restaurant ever been waited 55 min for my food and the taste was like i am eating a food prepared for pets. Worst management ever seen in my life. The owner should consider opening something else rather than restaurant.
I cannot believe this restaurant has 4.8 stars. Or maybe the food for Uber eats is very different then the one in the restaurant. I ordered 2 of the main Indian dishes - Butter chicken and Paneer Saag and they both were probably the the worst Indian dishes I ever tried. Both had about just 4 small pieces of chicken and cheese and the rest was soup, the consistency was 90% liquid!!!! Awful experience!!!
True hidden gem! Highly recommend. Definitely coming back for celebrations. Their set menu & special offers for dine in are one of the best in town. Came for Diwali celebration with friends and absolutely had a delicious meal. Thanks for best customer service. Best wishes.
We visited this restaurant on Canada Day—my husband and I, along with four friends—arriving about 30 minutes before our reservation because we hoped to catch the fireworks afterward. Unfortunately, we ended up missing them due to the painfully slow service. The waiter, who seemed new and clearly overwhelmed, was doing his best, but he had no support. Our drinks didn’t arrive until after the starters, and there was a 30–40 minute gap between the starters and the main course. Throughout the meal, our table was largely unattended, and trying to get basic service felt like a struggle given that the restaurant was empty and only had two more people on another table. At one point, I tried to call over someone who seemed to be the manager or owner (he was behind the bar making drinks), but he rudely ignored us. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given how chaotic everything already was. To top it all off, when we got the bill, they had added an automatic gratuity for 7 people—when there were only 6 of us. It felt like our time, and honestly our presence, wasn’t respected. While the food itself was quite good, the overall experience was disappointing and stressful. I hope they improve their service and management, because right now, the chaos really overshadows the kitchen.
Michelin Star in-person but worst Uber eats (health concerns) Visit - We visited Aamara on May 18th. Everything start to end was astounding. Our host Anisha was amazing (she managed 8-9 tables very well with a smile on her face and paying attention to each small detail) Food Taste- We ordered pani puri (not in the menu and they were kind enough to accommodate), veg biryani, masala dosa, Dal Makhni, and steam rice. Everything was cooked to the perfection. Everything was fresh that you could tell from the taste. Presentation was superb. We finally had found our best Indian spot. We’ll surely visit again!! Worst Uber Experience Following our visit Sunday, we ordered Uber eats next day and our experience was totally opposite. Packaging - Worst with so many pins that it hurtled me while opening. Everything was in plastic containers (we expected better from Amara to use paper boxes) Food - Everything was utter spicy even after mentioning to keep everything mild. My 2 year old daughter had been vomiting since 5 am (she had potli samosa last night which were undercooked). I had acidity due to the food and stomach upset. Food tasted bland and very spicy. Except the lassi and green chutney everything was sub par and I have serious concerns about visiting this place again. Unfortunately our experience turned upside down by their Uber eats delivery. I know they were not on Uber eats for a long time and they even mentioned when I asked in my visit that they had just started after a year. They should really stop Uber if they can’t maintain the same quality. They are spoiling years of hard work with this.
This restaurant holds a special place in my heart because it’s where my husband and I got married in 2024! From the very beginning, the owner, Thamil, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was incredibly accommodating, meeting with us multiple times to ensure we felt comfortable with every detail of our wedding planning. Since Aamara was a relatively new restaurant at the time, choosing it as our wedding venue (for a 35-person celebration) was a bit of a leap of faith—but they truly exceeded our expectations. While minor hiccups can happen at any event, the team handled everything seamlessly. The staff made the evening so enjoyable, and our guests left on such a high note! One of the things that drew us to Aamara was its elegant and modern ambiance—not your typical Indian restaurant setting. It provided the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and dinner. And then there’s the food—what can I say? It’s phenomenal. Hands down, the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavor. I’d even compare it to a Michelin-starred experience I had in Dubai. Their butter chicken is a must-try—easily one of their standout dishes. You can tell the chef pours his heart into every plate. I just went back earlier this week and again the food was exceptional! I have probably dined there a few times now and can't wait to return! A huge thank you to the entire Aamara team for making our wedding so special. Whether you're looking for a fantastic dining experience or the perfect place to host an event, Aamara is an exceptional choice!
