We ate and ate for lunch and I didnt need dinner! We tried a bit of everything but its the burger that I would recommend for sure ❤️. ...... Chickpea fritter was crispy, addictive, and kind of reminds me of samosa skin but even lighter. The salad was..well salad haha. Im more of an meat eater but the sauce that comes drizzled on is nice and creamy. I cannot review the octopus objectively because i personally don't appreciate seafood especially when its still whole, but my table mates said it was delicious. The sauce was nice. To me the octopus tasted... nicely grilled? Like if someone had grilled sausage. Now the pizza...THAT was amazing. That cheese on top was so creamy and nom nom nom. I would have eaten it all but we were sharing it ahaha. But the burger. OMG. Im not sure my photo truly captured the sheer size of this behemoth. This isnt a smash burger. It's like a giant piece of delicious meat cooked to perfection. And complemented by home-made fries with this lemon mayo dip. It was magical combination. Now i just need to come back and try their dessert! Cheatsheet: Panelle - chickpea fritter (app) Imperiale - salad (small plate) Polpo - octopus (small plate) Borbonica - pizza (small plate) Bar Ardo Burger - burger (main)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – The BEST burger I’ve ever had, hands down! My recent visit to Bar Ardo was unforgettable, thanks to the incredible Bar Ardo Burger crafted by Chef Roberto Marotta. It is without doubt the BEST burger I’ve ever had—in terms of taste, quality, quantity, and pure satisfaction, nothing else even comes close. Every bite was a perfect balance of juicy, flavorful, and beautifully prepared ingredients. This burger doesn’t just meet expectations; it completely redefines them. And let’s not forget the exceptional hospitality provided by Jacqueline Nicosia’s staff. Welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm, they elevated the entire experience and made the meal feel special from the moment I sat down. Honestly, this burger is so extraordinary that the name doesn’t quite capture its greatness. They should call it the “Quintessenza Burger” or the “Burger Ultimo”—something worthy of a menu item this remarkable. If you’re anywhere near Bar Ardo, treat yourself. Chef Marotta’s creation is a must-try masterpiece.
I booked a large party dinner reservation here the other week & the staff/service/food could not have been more amazing. Truly the best experience ever ... will absolutely be back!!
Appetizer and cocktail were great. Pasta was terrible. I ordered mushroom pasta. I avoid ordering special of the day but it sounded so good. Pasta came cold. It lacked flavor. Had a few tiny pieces of mushrooms. It came with cold greasy ground beef and some green peas, with a sauce that tasted like flour mixed with unsalted water and oil that's been reused several times. I think the chef may have also added the water in which mushrooms were washed. Service was bad. Left the restaurant dissapinted.
Loved our meal at Bar ARDO. Great spot - casual and warm. Service was Great! We had the pasta special and the hamburger both delicious. Perfect location for a bite pre theatre at Bluma Appel.
I’ve been a long time lover of Ardo but this place was a little disappointing for me :( not 3 stars just because they were so fresh when I went there but the main reason why I probably won’t be back (even tho I live 3 min walk from here) is service. The host carried himself in an entitled manner, and in 1,5 min of conversation reminded us 3 times that they just opened 2 weeks ago when I had a question like your phone doesn’t work properly or do you have a hanger (they don’t, you sit with your coats). The servers seemed overwhelmed and tired. The food was alright, so were the drinks. Maybe my expectations were too high but I’ll wait for a while if I am to come back - they need to reorganize a bit.
We had a several appetizers, sides and mains. I liked everything, my favourite was the delicious chicken. I like dark meat with skin on. It’s not a huge portion, however.
