Awesome food, service & entertainment with Derek! We were not looking forward to sitting at the bar as we thought it would be awkward but Derek, Antler's Bartender extraordinaire made our night. Next time we will ask for the bar. The food was delicious. Especially the wild mushroom tart. $12 - large & yummy. For non meat eaters we had much to chose from even though this restaurant made some Vegans unhappy. Love the idea of wild game - much better than farming & raising meat unethically.
My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at Antler this past Friday night. Our dining experience from start to finish was phenomenal (and I'm not using that word lightly!). Antler had the ability to produce plate after plate of flawlessly prepared food with multiple layers of flavour and complexity. The meat sampling on the house prepared charcuterie were nothing short of a delicacy. The fish was as smooth as butter, and the venison bursting with flavour. My husband and I found ourselves talking about it for the rest of our weekend, and will definitely find our way back whenever we're in the area next! Thank you so much for providing us with the kind of experience going out to eat should be!!
The food is amazing! The meat and the veggies was cooked to perfection. I also appreciate that they use local animals and butcher the whole animal so no meat goes to waste which is very responsible. This does mean that the menu changes so for example when I went, the venison cut was the loin since that was the selected piece of the day. Overall a great location but it is not cheap so you will pay(financially) for that amazing quality.
On of the best meals I've ever eaten and my favourite restaurant in Toronto. The place was pretty full when we got there and kept getting busier but that never impacted the speed of service in the slightest! Our waitress was attentive and food was served very quickly, especially for how packed the place was. As for the food, it was magnificent. Beautifully served and delicious. I will most certainly be back
Amazing food. I dont normally induldge in desserts, however be sure not to miss out on them here. We were seated at the bar (which we knew ahead of time), and it was pleasantly comfortable compared to your standard stiff bar stool. These ones had sturdy backs and comfortable foot rests. The bartender gave great wine recommendations, and as a random side note (that I actually consider of high importance) the bathrooms were clean and didnt look shabby like most bathroom basements in these establishments do.
