A great spot for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by the bartender. For cocktails dare to go with a Mach 2 if you like dark and boozy (2.5 oz). We started with the Cheesy puffs, which were ok but followed them up with the steak and the heirloom tomatoes that stole the show. We were there on a Friday evening and the atmosphere started to pick up around 8pm.
For some reason, I always tell myself "Chantecler is pretty good, I should go there more often." Then when I actually go, I realize it is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and have one of the best meals of my life and fantastic service. It's like amnesia but instead of being super distressing over not remembering things it's a great surprise every time. Food is bonkers, everything on the menu is great down to the frites. The cocktails are delicious and innovative and even the beers are well curated.
The host graciously fit myself and 3 friends at a table without a reservation (I would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant fills up quickly). The food was perfect for sharing and absolutely delicious. We had the Cheese puffs, steak tartar, scallops, vegetable medley, fries, pork, and duck. Each dish was created beautifully. I would definitely highly recommend Chantecler!
Food is excellent. Intimate and friendly ambience. Staff are on point and know what they're serving. Seating is cramped more than cozy, but it's the only major flaw. Otherwise, go. The food does not disappoint.
Ate here on a Friday. Really good quality French food in a small relaxed atmosphere. The service was good although the steak took a little long to come out. The escargots were delicious. The duck confit was real tasty and crispy. The steak was perfectly even cooked to a high end steak house standard. It was a huge portion. I probably over ordered for 2 people. Dessert was a little weak but its no big deal.
