My husband and I were in a tiny town in Abruzzo, Italy for our honeymoon, talking to the owner of this very cool brewery—and the man starts saying how he learned so much of what he knows from Collective Arts. To which my husband and I said, “Wait, WHAT. That’s, like, our favourite place. We went there on our wedding day!” After our ceremony and lunch, we walked down the street with our 20 guests and treated them to jalapeno beers and cherry ciders. The staff at CA was so sweet and thoughtful: they even laid out a table for us, just waiting there. We went back a few days later and one of our wedding guests was sitting here, right before he left for the airport. He said, “I just had to have one more before I left Toronto.” It’s a special place. It might *actually* be magical because I don’t really like beer but I love everything they make here! (The flavoured fizzy waters are amazing too, just saying.)
The vibe here is so fantastic and infectious. I would be here all day if I could. The drinks are great, the staff are incredible, the collective of art is out of this world. A must stop if you are in Toronto/ near Chinatown!
worst experience ever!!!!!!! since we arrived the place was empty and the only guy who was working didn’t even attend us. Even when we were standing on the counter ready to order, he didnt care. But when other customers came in he went and took his order. definetly not coming back
Popped in Saturday afternoon, after walking around all morning. Decided to try a couple of beer flights. Had to have a few staples but also a bunch of new limited editions that are always on rotation. A taste for everyone to enjoy. We didn't end up having anything to eat, but they do have a small selection of edibles available that looked good. They also have takeout beer and merch in the front, so you can take some home with you! When we were there, even though it wasn't advertised anywhere they mentioned they were putting on a show downstairs later that night. Went back and caught a couple of great local bands and enjoyed the cherry whiskey sour at the downstairs bar. Underrated cool little spot hopefully they put on more shows and promote so a few more people will come by.
This is an easy 5-star spot. Great beer, cool space, dudes working here we’re friendly. The space is artsy, hipsters would love it. They have a nice outdoor patio for soaking up the sun. Really likes all of my IPAs, they do the NE style really well. Very true to style, nice and grassy, not to sweet. They also serve food, but we did not order any. Would definitely return and like to see what they brew next.
Collective Arts was a staple in our household even before we moved to the area. My wife and I really enjoy their beers. This location has become a regular go-to for us. The staff are knowledgeable and fun to chat with - we have never gotten a bad recommendation. We love the small batch brews exclusive to this location! The food is also really tasty. Highly recommend it for a visit and hangout on their patio.
Tried two 4-beer flights, and every beer was fantastic. Also tried the chips and salsa, which were very tasty and complimented the beer nicely. They offered flights of their different gins, too, but I haven't tried those. I've had the blackthorn one before, though, which was wonderful.
