Just had holiday party catered by Dave’s. It was delicious. Everyone thought it was the best deli meat they had ever had. Dave couldn’t be nicer to deal with
In addition to the food being incredible, the owner goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction to the highest degree. I highly recommend supporting this independent business.
Kishka was just stuffing rolled-up with no casing or taste that resembled beef content. Gravy was good. Smoked meat was thick-cut and overcooked. Fries were good. Coleslaw was tasteless. Pickle was good. Not a kosher-style deli but an attempt at it with Avenue Rd. pricing. I’ll go elsewhere.
I ordered 2 chicken soups with Matzo balls and 2 with chicken kreplach. First, it was packed really well. No spills. The restaurant using fantastic containers. (This is key, I ordered from others and it’s spilled everywhere. I need to say, this is the absolute best in the city. I’m home sick and was thrilled to find this gem. I called and spoke with Ken, he was a sweetheart. This is now my new go-to. If you are sick and need some loved chicken soup:…Run and pick it up. 5+stars. Looking forward to dining in once I’m better. Thank you!

Fantastic experience relying on Dave’s for catering a larger family gathering. Matzoh ball soup consistently great, but the Brisket was phenomenal - already looking forward to the next opportunity to bring in the brisket again.
Reuben Sammy with Smoked Meat or Pastrami one of the best I’ve ever had. One small gripe: please take orders at the tables instead of at the cash. It’s not inexpensive food, and deserves that level of treatment. Service was great !
