The service was above and beyond its like a big family in there, the food was between decent and just ok. The beef tartar was way too acidic and was a bit grey instead of bright red, maybe because of pickle juice The focaccia served with the tartar was very good. The bouillabaisse was very good with incredibly soft fish and giant shrimp. The parpadelle and escargot were a bit too greasy.
The food was out of this world delicious our waiter was amazing. At first he even gave us complimentary bread. The food was delicious. Every place in the GTA has put the cost. Our waiter was on accommodating and do not split the cost. We tipped above and beyond yet he was not satisfied with the tip, we will not be back. We were so upset with the fact that tip was not good enough, and we were embarrassed that she could not even split the check and also I’m very upset that our waiter could not accommodate to that. Oh my God any place in the GTA would have accommodated that and I’ve been to many restaurants that are fancy another thing I wanted to mention was I use a tip calculator app just helpful. It’s just helpful for me. I like having it. I just enjoy having a tip calculator even though there’s designated tip on the computer, he was not accommodating. He was not patient and he didn’t seem grateful for the tip that we gave him. We will not be coming back despite the good food that we endure. We were really upset with the customer service. The waiter I don’t even remember his name, grabbed my phone also, my partner has never liked seafood, and he never will constantly suggest suggesting someone to try seafood after they find it unappealing Is not professional to be fair my partner wanted to leave the restaurant he was so uncomfortable. I was willing to pay for my meal. It wasn’t that I was short on money at all. That’s not the case I Wanted the bill to be split, which is fair to ask and he was very rude about it and said no no no it can’t be split. Also mussel sauce was so salty. Will never ever ever be back. The waiter appeared so greedy
This restaurant is by far one of the best in the city. The food, the atmosphere, staff especially the owner Robbie who makes you feel so welcome and treats you like you are the most important customer to walk in the restaurant. The wine is always perfectly cold as we all like our white wine. Highly recommend this place last night I was there and I had the best meal in my life. The pasta of the day which was with scallops, lobster tail saffron and fregola. 10 on 10. Thank you Robbie for a fun night!!!!
I visited back in January and forgot to post a review at the time. I recently searched for this place again and can’t believe more people haven’t tried it out. The food is solid - very well made regardless of what you order. The Sicily pizza and the pavlova is to die for. I think about both of those menu items on a weekly basis (I’m not joking) and I can’t wait to be back. The owner is extremely kind and I find service to be great. Unlike other fine dining locations that start aggressive tip requests at 20% on the machine (regardless of number of people), this place started it at something like 12% which I think is a nice gesture.
Wow. I was there for a private party and wow!!! From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere the staff created, this place hit every mark. What sets them apart from other Italian restaurants in the city are the little details, from their choice in coffee bean, to brand of water, to the curated cheeses they use. It's these hidden authentic Italian details that if you know... you know. I have found my new favorite restaurant, hands down.
One of my regular go to spots in Toronto. The food is simply tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The menu usually changes every few months so you can experience some new stuff while enjoying the regular stuff that are always on the menu. They also have a great selection of wines that are priced very reasonable. Sometimes dining is about the overall experience including location, service and more and this place certainly delivers on all of them. Great spot for a date night or with friends for a lovely evening.
I have been going to Mamo since it opened and always have a great time. Everyone is treated beautifully by Robbie and his staff. The food is excellent and they have an extensive wine list to satisfy everyone's likes. The ambiance is very warm and conducive to a wonderful evening like we had last evening. I'll keep coming back.
