Went with 4 guys for some golf and food. The sim was accidentally double booked but the manager worked it out, which we appreciated. The food was excellent, great service and the best sim I’ve ever played on.
Great experience grabbing dinner with my family. Truffle pasta, steak and chicken were very good. Can’t wait to check out the golf simulator on our next visit!
A huge shoutout to Fairway Restaurant & Bar at 1660 Bayview. (The old Originals) I wrote a review about 10 days ago and have been back twice since, once with 6 other guys after some afternoon slot car racing, and then again last night for date night (half off wine) with my wife Dianne. Both times the food was exceptional! Pretty hard to win over some of my friends, but on Sunday afternoon all 6 of them fell in love with the food. Priced inline with the other local more sports themed bar on the strip, but sooooo much tastier at Fairways. I had the meatballs; so yummy!. A great pasta dish was thoroughly enjoyed by one mate, while two burgers and the chicken sandwich were devoured by three others. I forgot what the other two ate, but they were both enamoured by their meals as well. We also sampled some soon to be added to the menu scrumptious chicken wings, and wait to you taste the soon to be added cauliflower! All my friends were very impressed and will be back. And last night another wonderful meal. It's unfortunate the place hasn't been too full when we've been as the food is so worth going for. We'll be back many times. Hope to see more locals there as it's worth establishing this establishment!
Unfortunately the food was the worst part about my visit at Fairway. I ordered chips and salsa and al pastor chicken. The chips were cold and stale, and the salsa was way too salty. Almost inedible. Al pastor chicken was okay but I didn't want to finish it. Atmosphere felt a little weird. A bit too brightly lit for an evening visit. Went there for a Jay's game and it was not the best for viewing the game for everyone that was in our party. TV's where too small for the distance we were sitting. The service was fantastic though!
Great cocktails, decent wine list - albeit very pricey - food hit and miss, service good, TV volume was battling the sound system volume resulting in a very confusing atmosphere. We were there at 7:pm on a Thursday evening and after all the food came we were told the “Chef” wants to wrap-up so if we wanted more food we would need to order right away. What Very odd for early evening dinner service.
Went here to give it a try as I typically play a lot of simulator golf in the winter but thought I would see how it was on a very hot day. I had a fantastic experience. Used the simulator and it was top quality with very cool features being as close to real golf as it gets on a simulator. The food was fantastic. I got the Chips and Dips which had homemade chips and great sauces. Then got the pork skewers which were spectacular. Service on top of all of this was fantastic. Will 100% being going again and I suggest for everyone to as well even if just for the food!
Food was amazing. I was expecting pub grub but had an amazing choice of items. Mussels and clams - delicious!! Cocktails - yum! Chicken sandwich was amazing! You have to try this place. It’s a unicorn on Bayview.
