There was a Blue Jays game going on so I understand the restaurant was busy, but there was only one server. We ordered drinks but they never came. We were seated outside, there was no server, so we went inside to get them ourselves. The price and the portion size of the food was also♀️Sandwiches are easy to make at home too. The bill never came so we went inside ourselves. No apologies or thank yous. Terrible service.
I recently tried Gabby’s and ordered the garlic cheese fingers, veggie burger, veggie quesadilla, and veggie fajitas. • Garlic Cheese Fingers: Cheesy, garlicky, and a great starter. Perfectly baked with just the right amount of crisp. • Veggie Burger: A pleasant surprise! The patty was flavorful and well-seasoned, with fresh toppings and a good bun-to-filling balance. • Veggie Quesadilla: Cheesy, loaded with veggies, and satisfying—pairs well with the dips. • Veggie Fajitas: Served sizzling hot with a nice mix of vegetables and spices, making it one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, a solid spot for vegetarians looking for variety and flavor. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.
It is what it is, and sometimes, that's all you want. A friendly neighborhood haunt with better than average bar food and friendly staff. The guys in the kitchen will sometimes come out to chat about how the wings were, which really shows the pride they take in their work.
Great casual pub. Really great veteran staff and entertaining regulars. Very unpretentious, and good vibes. And the dine-to patio keeps getting nicer every year.
We went for Wednesday wing nite! The wings were quite good. We also had poutine. I don't like the gravy they used. However the cheese curds were good and a generous amount. My Tequila Sunrise was lit!
Monday and Wednesday 1/2 wing deal when you buy ANY beverage. I noted the hot flavour was mild/medium at best. So if you like it hot, go with suicide flavour. Parmesan and Caesar is also great.
Toni (hope I spelled her name right)was a fantastic warm and friendly bartender, full of product knowledge and had a great recommendation on an Irish whiskey I wound up enjoying quite a bit. I had chicken wings and fries that were fantastic as they were perfectly crispy and not oversauced so even as is at there talking way too long, they never got soggy. Environment was super warm and friendly and some of the locals/regulars absolutely made me feel right at home. I've been to other Gabby's in the east end, but this one just went a little above and beyond, and I appreciate that effort. Fun casual environment to grab some beers and wings with friends or a date. Definately will return as my other local watering hole is just down the road, so it's the perfect stop for snacks and chats as I continue on my way.
