Perfect place to grab a bite after visiting the Christmas Market at the Distillery. I ordered the French dip with a nice cold glass of beer. I love the vibe of the restaurant, and our server was so friendly and knowledgeable. Sorry I didn’t catch his name, but he was Irish. I look forward to coming back and trying all their beers. #supportlocal
We only had beer, chips with cheese and dessert, chips were a bit stale but the cheese sauce was good. They make some of the best IPAs, will have to try food here next time.
Unfortunately, my recent experience at GLB Great Lakes Brewpub was extremely disappointing. I've been a regular customer for several years, but I'm unlikely to return. Upon arrival, we requested a table with a good view of the TV for the Leafs game. Unfortunately, the host seated us in a corner with limited to zero visibility. While this was less than ideal, we were willing to make the most of it and eventually found a better spot after 30 minutes into the game. However, our evening took a turn for the worse when our server became verbally abusive. After learning that we hadn't tipped, he demanded that we leave the restaurant. In his words, "You guys should get out now." He went on to make unprofessional comments about his employer not paying him enough and having to cover the bartender's pay out of his own pocket, insisting that we should tip him because of this. Regardless of the reason, a server should never treat customers with such disrespect. I believe that this kind of behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. I hope that the restaurant will take steps to address this issue and ensure that their customers have a positive dining experience.
Don't get served by this guy. I had the unfortunate experience of being served by someone as unprofessional as this gentleman, who was extremely rude and complaining about his compensation from the establishment. As a regular customer who has a great view of the GLB franchise and has been a regular customer at both the Etobicoke and Sugar Beach locations for several years, I am extremely unhappy for the way my table was treated. As a regular customer, I am disappointed for a one off terrible experience I've had here. Please do note that the establishment is extremely well run with the excellent food and phenomenal drinks with unwavering commitment to quality food and drinks.
food is overpriced. they gave me 20$ to get out just because they assumed my eyes were a little red but I was tired not taking anything? this girl there is always rude to me and im a regular customer there and wouldn’t let me use the washroom when I really had to go when I’m usually allowed to. hate this place and never ordering again.
