Really enjoyed the authentic Filipino breakfast- longanisa and garlic fried rice at Hermie’s. They have a long list of traditional breakfasts on the menu but this is what sets them apart. We’ll be going back!
Hermie and her husband Chris made us feel extremely welcome while feeding our craving for top notch Filipino food! We ate family style and shared out of this world pork sisig, lechon kawali, and seafood kare kare accompanied by garlic fried rice. They also serve Canadian dishes which I'm sure are just as good. I can't wait to return to this friendly, filipino restaurant!
Amazing Breakfast Spot located right ✅️ in the heart ❤️ of Bayview Village. A very nice waitress by the name of Camille served me up the best Large Breakfast with 3 eggs Bacon & Toast plus home fries. A meat patty & even a Pancake all for $20. They also have the early bird Breakfast Specials from 6am to 9am everyday so be sure to check ✔️ ✅️ those out on the patio there's a sign description of them. Very cozy diner environment with free WIFI & also a large screen TV This is an awesome restaurant Dine in or take out.
Excellent brunch spot in the neighbourhood. I’ve been twice for Sunday brunch and never had to wait for a table like some of the other spots nearby. The service was excellent and the place was clean. I’ve tried the classic and Filipino breakfasts and enjoyed both. The only other thing I’ll mentioned is that the Tapa was cooked different on both days which I found odd. The first time had thicker strips of beef and was more pale in colour. The second time was thinner pieces and darker in colour (2nd time was more flavourful).
Been wanting to try this spot for a while and my boyfriend and I finally did ! A sweet small business right on bayview and we came for brunch this week. A Canadian x Filipino breakfast spot. I ordered the pan fried milkfish with garlic rice and egg, and my boyfriend ordered the longanissa with garlic rice and egg - wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve only had these dishes at family gatherings (being half Filipino) and I felt blasted back to the past to when my grandma used to make food for me. Felt nostalgic :) Flavour was rich and authentic, so happy to have found this gem ❤️ support this restaurant !!
Got here on a Monday morning, paid for two hours of parking... and the place is closed. What a waste of $10. Edited based on owners comment - yup. 1 star for not changing your hours on Google, which meant I wasted $10 in parking because your hours were incorrect.
A hidden gem in the city. Absolutely love the breakfast food here, it’s become a favorite after going just a few times. They have the best home fries I’ve ever had. Portions are huge, service is great, and love the free coffee with the meal.
