We went to La Cubana and got the pressed Cubano — it was amazing. Crispy bread, juicy pork, and the perfect mix of cheese and pickles. Great flavor and chill vibe. Definitely worth it.
I didn't know what to expect but that was some damn good sandwich. The sweetness of the bun, hitting the pork's umami, balanced by the tanginess of the salad and condiments was a delight to my tastebuds. I ordered the rib medianoche recommended by the server and I was not disappointed. Happy I waited to eat it at home because I would have gotten weird looks from the way I was moaning while eating. I'm going back for more.
Ordered the pork shoulder plate - 1/4 of the meat was tender the rest was dry and hard to swallow. The pickled cabbage was the saving grace. Rice and beans had good flavour. Not a good portion of food for the price IMO but maybe good to try one time
Cool vibe Cuban spot. Served me a Cubano sandwich on burnt bread. When I complained, told me to eat the unburnt half, and made me a new half sandwich. So grateful. Otherwise, good food in previous visits
Got the Guava BBQ beef short rib plate-they gave a generous amount of meat and the chimichurri elevates the taste of it. I haven’t dined in at their physical restaurant in Ossington so can’t compare the quality between the 2 locations but will do so next time! The Tostones are a little disappointing, they were dry and tasted blend, wouldn’t recommend if you’re ordering from their location at the Well.
I was at the Well and very overwhelmed with the food options available. I am so glad I decided to try La Cubana - worth every penny! I tried the Pressed Cubana - so delicious, I’d highly recommend !!
Got the chicken medianoche sandwich and honestly was quite disappointed. I had heard really good things about this place and my sandwiched ended up being lacklustre. The chicken was cold and kinda bland and the toppings were just avocado and tomato. Bun was clearly toasted long before it was served and was mushy
